If you are converting to Islam for marriage. Is that acceptable?

So you don’t really believe, you are doing it for her/his sake. No it’s not acceptable.

I have a question is it allowed to talk to our living imam? Some shias see it as ghulat and not allowed to talk to imam mahdi because he can’t hear you

Most definitely he and all the other Imams can hear us, so yes you can talk to him.

I have a question about the permissibility of my job. I work in local government primarily carrying out routine scientific testing on food and drink for both public and private clients. (e.g. supermarkets, small businesses, environmental health, trading standards). Occasionally I test things like cosmetics too.

However, I do not know the ruling on whether it is okay for me to test non-halal food and drink. e.g. pork meat, alcohol.

I should clarify, I do not pass or fail any food as to whether it is okay or not to sell. I just put routine results for tests like fat or protein into the system.

Please advise on the permissibility of my job. I have bought a home with this money, after paying obligatory khums and I am currently paying a mortgage. What are my next steps? If part of the income is halal and part isn’t, how do I quantify? What do I do with any income that isn’t?

I am looking for another job but until then, I need to pay my bills. Until find new employment, is it okay to continue to use this money for bills? And am I allowed to be picky while job hunting, i.e. choosing based on my career and qualifications and not wanting to take a large salary cut.

Are you certifying the haram meat? If you are saying that this is ok to eat, then that is technically certifying.

With the meat, it is problematic if your are certifying it for consumption. But with the alcoholic beverages it’s a completely forbidden.

You need to seek another job, unless there is nothing available except this job, if that is the case then you need to try and avoid it as best you can. If you can’t avoid the haram things then you need to find a new job as best you can as this is problematic. As for the money previously made you can accept as a procurement from a non believer.

You should endeavour to find another job, certifying alcoholic beverages is very problematic and can be considered forbidden if it is approving its consumption. The income received is only permissible in the case where the jurist considers it mixed income in which he allows you to keep it if your situation is dire and there is no other form of employment.

Is it haram to get a septoplasty surgery for my nose because I have a deviated septum?

No it is not haram.

Wanted to know how the usual diet/food Ahlulbayt (as) used to have in order to remain healthy?

The human body to function properly requires sufficient protien & other macronutrients along with micronutrients (calcium, vitamins, minerals) and so on..
As per our traditions, our Holy Imams(as) including Imam Ali (as) – was participated in numerous wars & battles – consumed very minimum food which seemingly weakens the body.

The Imam (as) says health comes from little food, little water and little sleep.
As for what was consumed, barley bread seemed to be the staple food.

I have a question about vows of yameen, if I did a yameen to not do something, and I put a condition that *i’m not allowed to feed 10 people but only to pay 50 million* to motivate myself but now I regret, can I just settle to the kafarah of feeding 10 people?

Ruling 2687. If a person takes an oath to do something or to refrain from doing something – for example, he takes an oath to keep a fast or to stop smoking – then in the event that he intentionally (ʿamdan) does not fulfil his oath, he will have committed a sin and he must give recompense (kaffārah). That is, he must either free a slave, or feed ten poor people (fuqarāʾ), or clothe them. And if he cannot do any of these, he must fast for three consecutive days.

Is donating/selling blood for the purpose of money haram?

It is permissible to donate blood

I was wondering if this haram and counts as masterbation, I’m not touching my self with my hands or watching that site but sometimes when I’m hard my penis pushes against my underwear causing me pleasure related to this I would make my penis press itself against my underwear adding more pleasure. Is that haram? Also if my body is sore and I’m laying down my penis gets hard from the feeling of my body being sore like if my legs are sore and they’re on top of each other the feeling of the soreness on my body causes me to get hard. And I would put my legs on top of each other while they’re sore because I’ll know it will cause me pleasure I’m worried this counts as masterbation

Anything that you do that will make you ejaculate without your wife doing stimulating you is masturbation.
So go get married, or do muta or practice abstinence and fast.

What was Syeda Fatimah’s mahr in monetary value, and what would be the equivalent in today’s currency?

About 1200 grams of silver. Silver is around $1.14 per gram
So it’s about $1,368 USD/£990

I believe in Allah, but how do I feel Allah SWT’s presence around me? How can I feel that Allah SWT is watching me, so I don’t sin? What I mean is that I feel disconnected from Allah SWT. How do I make my connection with Allah SWT stronger?

How do you believe in Allah, but not believe he all-seeing, all-knowing?
You need to pray on time and supplication is essential. Especially morning prayer, you need to supplicate then.
Read دعاء العهد to reestablish a connection with the connection to Allah.

My question is in regards to najasat. Is it true that in western countries you have to assume that all the floors of the house are najis since someone else was living there before?
So you can not have wet bare feet to walk on such surface as it gets najis, is that a true concept?

Also are you to assume that the whole bathroom floor is also najis? Some people do not use slippers for the bathroom as they have the mats and they step bare feet on other parts of bathroom floor (tiles). Is that considered najis?

Everything is tahir until you know that it has become najis.
This rule is fundamental

I notice a lot of folks would pray to Allah SWT to survive through a disease or have a long life.

But, from what I understand, our deaths are already written, and we can’t hasten or prolong them right? I think there are ayahs on this but I can’t think of any in my head.

If I’m right then, am I wrong to pray for the long life of myself and family members?

You should pray for a long life in the service of Allah. And yes it can change the outcome, everything is in Allah’s hands.

يَمْحُو اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيُثْبِتُ وَعِندَهُ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ

Allah makes to pass away and establishes what He pleases, and with Him is the basis of the Book.

I wanted to know if it’s valid to end a motaa marriage by message ?

Yes as long as you are certain of it taking place. As in you are certain it is the guy that you are doing it with and not some random or automated message.

What is the proof that the soul do exist?

The Quran speaks about the soul, and says that the soul is by the command of your lord. It’s not a tangible thing.

In his book ‘the unschooled Prophe’ Murtadha Mutahhari wrote our Prophet pbuh & hf could not read or write, pre or post revelation. However, an esteemed scholar on you tube said our Prophet pbuh &hf could read and write and it would be absurd to think otherwise. Can you please tell me which is the correct belief regarding our unschooled Prophet according to our contemporary scholars?

The Prophet could read and write by evidence of the Qur’an.
In Surah najm, Rahman and Alaq.
The Prophet being illiterate is a Sunni opinion that some Shia have fallen victim to.

I made a pretty bad mistake. My heart has hardened alot in the past 2 years due to my constant transgressions and unthankfulness for the bounties the Almighty (SWT) had bestowed on me. I’m narcissistic, i have an inferiority complex, I’m arrogant, materialistic, a people pleaser, I’ve engaged in zina and masturbation, and I’ve done many sins in my past. But with all my flaws I know my heart is in the right place

I know despair is a sin but I can’t help it due to my situation (it was my own fault and I take responsibility for it and can only hope that Allah (SWT) forgives me. I’m not doubting his mercy but I feel ready to give up, and yes suicide did cross my mind countless times but I couldn’t do that to my family, plus an eternity in hell isn’t worth it) please help me.

We are all lousy and not worthy, and it’s only Allah’s mercy that we rely upon and nothing else. Despair is from the devil, because his deception leaves you to believe that success is measured by wealth and that a sinner is useless and how dare he think that he stands a chance. The only thing that I want you to think about is this, if God was merciless and his mercy was only meant for the good; then why does he make so many avenues to get people into paradise? To the point that one may repent on their last breath.
My secret to living a happy life is to take one day at a time and stop thinking about tomorrow. Make your peace with Allah now and tomorrow deal with tomorrow. Imagine today as a new day and start walking in that direction.
In gaming terms (look at life )
Remember you are player one and everyone else is a bot. You need to finish the tasks at hand and don’t worry about the AI characters they are just programmed in to make the game run.

My father has been diagnosed with Parkinsonism for more than a decade and recently we came across a medicine/oil which primarily contains cbd (cannabidol – cannabis). Although it hasn’t been prescribed and nor has it been prescribed by our GP.

We’ve heard that it can potentially help ease pain and help him. Is it allowed for us to use cbd oil?

If it has the same adverse effects as the narcotic then no it may not be used.

I have a problem that I think too much about my past and I am scared that people from my past still think about me or think badly about me. I am scared of getting involved with anything that involves them, even though Alhamdulillah I have repented. I’m just always so scared and I want to stop thinking about it but its also good because you never stop asking for forgiveness from Allah but i just get in this depressing episode when I do and it makes me really tired.

Once a man came to see the 8th Imam (as) and he heard people talking about his past. So he wept bitterly and said to the Imam, I’ve changed my ways and yet they still speak ill off me.
The Imam (as) responded: does it not suffice you, that I am pleased with you?

You don’t need to please the haters, haters are going to hate.
You only need to please your lord, avoid the ignorant and keep the company of the righteous.

May Allah give you support and change your image in the eyes of the people to a righteous image.

Is it true that the Imams can forgive you for yours sins? And if so, will I be taken out of the fold of shiism if I don’t believe in this?

Allah is the only one who forgives sin, the Imam intercedes for you to get you forgiveness.

I wanted to ask while prostration (sajdah) in prayers eyes should be closed or open?

Open

1) What is the ruling for a non mahram man seeing a women’s ultrasonic (like the X-ray image) is it haram?

2) Besides a medical professional it would be haram? Not the procedure just showing the picture

1) As in a medical professional for medical purposes, it is permissible.

2) No, I don’t see how it’s forbidden, unless of course it is showing clear imagery.

Is it true if we are 100% certain that someone is a magician or is involved in magic that we are permitted islamically to kill them without punishment?

No you may not kill anyone. Otherwise people will take the law into their own hands and we would live in an anarchist society.
Murder is forbidden.

Are "Shia" sects like Nusayris (Alawites), Imamis, Ismailies Muslims? They have quite extreme beliefs in my opinion and in the opinion of others.

If they believe in Allah and his Messenger and the Quran. Then they are Muslim apparently.

Can our duas change our destiny if Allah SWT accepts them?

Dua can change anything, today we commemorate the martyrdom of the sixth Imam (as) and Mansour al Dawaniqi made several attempts on the life of the Imam, and through dua, the Imam was able to be saved all these times from the evil of Mansour.

Should I marry an adulterer girl who has repented?
I may face a lot of taunts from the society about her previous illicit relationship and every other highlighted sin that may result in humiliation for me.
At the same time I also think that if I dont marry her, will anyone else accept her as In the society (in which I live) I feel it will be really hard to accept a girl with such kind of past."

If she has repented, then there really is no problem with it.

1) I remember hearing in a lecture once that it was said by Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) each of the prophets had a portion of Allahs knowledge, and gave examples such as Isa (as) had this much, Nuh (as) had this much, Ibrahim (as) had so and so and kept going up in number. Until he named Rasolullah (saw) and Imam Amir al-mu’minin (as), who had 72 out of 73 portions of Allahs knowledge. Is this a true hadith or a known hadith at all? If so where can I find it?

2) Is it true that both Salman al farsi (as) and Abu Dharr al ghafari (as) where both part of the ahlul bayt, as I have read certain narrations that both Imam Ali (as) and Rasolullah (saw) has stated that they are part of the ahlul bayt?

1) Allah’s knowledge can not be quantified. What we have in our narrations is that each prophet had portions of the 73 letters of Allah’s grand name.

2) Yes I have heard the narration that Salman is from us Ahlul Bayt. But I have not heard this about Abu Thar, but I would not find it improbable to be the case.

When the word «sodomy» is used in islamic context what does it refer to? For example in the case when Imam Ali (as) was describing the condition Imam Mehdi aj will impose on his companions, one thing mentioned is: «You shall not commit sodomy, drink wine and do misappropriation with Imamate and guidance.» What is meant with sodomy? When searching up the word it gives the definition: «Sodomy (/ˈsɒdəmi/) or buggery (British English) is generally anal or oral sex». But can that really be the case? Because oral sex is allowed, and anal sex as well with ones wifes permission.

Sodomy is usually anal sex. However I would require the reference to the narration if you want me to investigate it further.

1) What is meant by places of entertainment? According to Sistani, if music is used in these places its haram.
2) Are festivals and concerts counted as such, because in that case no music is permissble because every song, even religios music can be played at a concert.

1) A club and their like.
2) If the festival or concert adhere to religious law, then no they are not places of entertainment that is mentioned.

Is selling agent (pectins) halal?

As long as it is not from anything forbidden. The onus is on you to research this.

I am currently struggling so much with my faith. For 6 months I’ve had this voice enter my head telling me God doesn’t exist and my chances of being born into the right religion. I feel like everything has just been made up to explain human existence. This has been causing me a lot of anxiety to the point it’s impacting my university studies.

The voice in your head is the voice of ignorance and the voice of Shaitan.
How can it be possible that God doesn’t exist when even those that deny his existence.
1. Can’t prove that he doesn’t exist
2. Hate him intensely even though they believe that he doesn’t exist. Like hating the bogey man.
3. Give you ludicrous ideas about the existence of life.
It doesn’t matter if you are born into the right religion or not. What matters is when the truth is presented to you, that you don’t conceal it.
People that refuse to acknowledge God, do so to either avoid any obligation or so that they don’t credit the abilities they have to being a gift from God.

So does God exist?
According philosophical argument and logical deduction the only truth lies in their being a supreme force that caused all that exists. And this force according Biblical and Islamic texts is God.

I have been wanting some religious help. Since last past few years we've not been able to be financially stable. Also, we are trying to conceive a second child since last 8 years now but everytime it's a big disappointment. I'm very tired and mentally exhausted. Sometimes I feel like ending my life or running away. Every door seems closed. My heart isn't finding solace anywhere. I've gone through so many treatments for this, but nothing gives results. Please help us out. Please tell us some wazifa or something that will give both my husband I some peace of mind and some solace.

May Allah assist you in your situation and grant you a child. You need to understand that happiness and satisfaction is only a result of being content.

The nature of this life is to have problems and issues. We always hear people complain about their issues, but we are here to be tried and not to live in comfort, comfort was only created for the hereafter.

An individual upon encountering a problem automatically feels it is the end of the road.

‎إِن مَّسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَئُوسٌ قَنُوطٌ
[41:49] if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing.

The believer in the worst situations should fill their heart with hope.

Things always change, don’t forget that God fixes things.

Remember when you were young and how you never worried about anything because your parents had all bases covered. Why do we lose this as we grow? When Allah is far greater than our parents at looking after our future and resolving our issues.

You need to remember
1. We were created to be tried
2. This world is transient
3. Allah rewards us based on our resolve in these situations.
4. Only the first hundred years are difficult for the believer. After that is eternal enjoyment.
5. Things change, but if they don’t be content.

As a convert, I live with non-muslims parents (not ahlul kitab). I struggle a little bit with purity, especially when it comes to food. Can I eat with my parents out of taqqiyah (for the sake of unity, not fear) even though the food is najis (however it is halal meat)? My parents aren’t happy when I do not eat with them.

If your mother prepares the food without touching them with wet hands, you can eat. Otherwise unfortunately you cannot.

Is it permissible to draw humans like Imams but blur their faces?

It is not forbidden to draw such things, but to believe that this image is actually a true appearance of the Imam is an erroneous belief.

Can you please tell what is the best day and time for taking out an Istekhara

Anytime after prayers, especially on Friday.

With all of the accepted practices that Islam follows with regards to marriage communications with a potential marriage partner how would one fall in love in such a way. So to be more concise, do Islamic practices with marriage guide us to marry a person you love or is it more geared to finding a person who has good heart and nice personality but not necessarily a person you'll fall in love with?

I don’t believe that it is possible to fall in love with anyone without being in a relationship with that person. So love definitely comes after marriage, and not before. I believe that when one looks for what Islam dictates for them to marry, their chances of having a loving relationship increases. The risk of living in an unloving relationship is always present regardless, but it is more important to marry someone that follows Islamic requirements than to marry someone that you think will make the birds sing and rainbows appear every time you look at them.

Recently I've been going full force in trying to be a Mo'min. My Journey started while living alone. There was no one but myself to pull down. Now that I'm with my family again, I feel a loss of spirituality. My mom is emotional, and my dad is very logical and aggressive. My father insults my mom infront of all the children and apologies in secret. Anyways, when they are mad at each other my mom has a tendency to get mad at us for no real reason. When I first came back she mocked me for being religious. I too have a tendency to get angry. And I feel as though she trys to make me angry. I need some practical steps to correct myself.

When you make the decision to become a better person, Allah increases the trial to see your resolve.
How can one claim to be a believer and not be tested? The better you become the harder your test.

أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوا أَن يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying, We believe, and not be tried? (29:2)

1. Dua, ask Allah for assistance every morning after prayers.
2. Recite the Quran from the text
3. Don’t do many public displays of faith in front of your parents.
4. Nobody is perfect we all fluctuate, so you will fall, just pick yourself up again and start over.

What are the things required by a person to become a wali of Allah?

Abstinence from sin, and performance of obligations is the beginning. The more abstinence you have the closer you will come to being of the awliyaa of Allah.

Is looking at porn the same level of haraam as looking at pictures of women? And how can an individual stop this had habit? I've tried praying 5 times including Tuhajjid. I tried fasting then but somehow I keep going back.

Looking at any image with lust is forbidden, other than that of your wife. Porn addiction is like any other addiction you need to deal with it harshly or it will remain.
One way to abstain is to make an oath that if I look at any images I will fast the next day.

There is a lot of confusion with what type of Music one can listen and what Instruments are allowed. These days even on Islamic channels we have music in backgrounds being played even if a Ziarat Documentary is being shown. Qawali in old days had very simple instruments and now days a huge variety is used within in. I want to have clarity please.

If you find no clarity then abstain from it all as a precaution. Sayed Sistani’s ruling states that if the music is like the music played in places of entertainment and amusement, then it’s forbidden.
If you can’t determine, then practice precaution.
Just because it is on an Islamic channel or in an Islamic state doesn’t make it permissible. We should practice precaution where we are unsure.

I heard we are not allowed to draw animate objects. Is this in shia islam?

Its not like my drawings would ever be able to compare to Allahs creation.

If it is non sculpted there is no issue

I want to write down Quranic verses I can use to explain our faith to others. I'd want to compile them in english in a notebook where it has different topics. If I don't write in Arabic, but translated version, do I have to have wudu all the time I write?

No you don’t need to be on wudu for this, but it is always better to be on wudu.

Do shias believe Quran isn't preserved? I follow shia way of Islam but I am a revert and still trying to find my way. Hence, my question.

The popular opinion of our scholars is that the Qur’an has been preserved. Suffices to say all Muslims read the same text. If the Qur’an was tampered with it would become evident like as in the case of the bible.

Is it permissible for a girl to engage in sports and other physical activities?
What are the do's and don'ts that she must follow while playing it in front of male coaches and spectators?

A girl can be involved in sport and physical activities as long as religious guidelines are upheld. It is forbidden for her to play intent of male spectators according to Sayed Sistani.

My wife and I are planning to have our first baby soon and I’ve read that it’s good for us to read Quran to the baby while they are in the stomach.
I’ve read some pretty specific recommendations about what to read in some books (e.g. recite Surah Maryam daily, recite Surah Yusuf 40 times and blow on apple and eat it … etc), but there doesn’t seem to be any sources to these recommendations, which makes me doubt their authenticity.
So I was wondering if know of a list which details the surahs to read during pregnancy? Or is there no specific recommendation?

There are many recommendations for a pregnant woman.
I wouldn’t follow anything that isn’t sourced.
But there is no loss in reciting the Qur’an in general.

After daily prayers, recite Surat al-Kawthar (108), Surat al-Qadr (97) and the long Ŝalawāt with the hand on the stomach:

أَللٌّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَجِّلْ فَرَجَهُمْ وَ أَهْلِكْ عَدُوَّهُمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَ الإِِنْسِ مِنَ الأََوَّلِينَ وَ الآخِرِينَ.

“O Allāh (SwT)! Bless Muĥammad and the family of Muĥammad, and hasten their release from suffering, and destroy their enemy, and curse their enemies from among the jinn and humankind from the beginning to the end (of time).

I often post jokes on my social media accounts. They are read by both men and women. Am I doing something haram if a woman reads it and laughs?
Also if some woman texts me saying something funny related to the jokes, replying her would be haram as well?

In the first case, no it would not be forbidden.
In the second case, it is questionable, it is forbidden if it will lead into sin. It’s better to avoid such a thing.

Over the years I've developed this bad habit of excessive sleeping. I wake up early but still during day I cannot control my sleep. I really despise it but I'm not able to help myself.
I've read about Prophet (saww) and Aimmah's saying regarding sleeping but still not able to stop sleeping in the day.
Please help.

Cold shower and go for a walk, works a charm. It’s a habit, you need to unlearn, get busy and you won’t sleep.
Cold showers will wake anyone up.

My husband owns an accounting firm and he has been approached by a party whose business is online gaming (betting). He has been asked to register a company for them, get them a businesd license and get them a TIN (taxpayer identification number) certificate. Is he permitted to the above for this company knowing they do gaming/betting?
Also, is he permitted to do accounts of such a company once it is registered?

If he is registering a business for this client and this business can be used in any way regardless; then it would be permissible. But if he is registering and licensing it for gambling then this would be considered assisting them in what is unlawful and thus it would be forbidden.
I would avoid such a company like East avoids West, it has damnation written all over it.

I have come across many people who believe that the use of poppy Seeds is haraam as it can be addictive. And some also call it a kind of drug.
I just wanted to clarify if it is actually haraam or we can use it?
Not just for a limited personal use but also for business purposes (to include in commercial recipes and etc)

If they have the same effect on you as opium does then they are forbidden, otherwise if they don’t then they are permissible.

I have been struggling with my mental health recently and in the past have had bad coping mechanisms
Unfortunately I am getting the urge to self harm again and I am trying not too but this is very very hard. To stop myself I have been snapping a rubber band against my wrist instead. Is this okay as it stops me from doing anything else?

If you are suffering from a mental health illness you should see a medical practitioner. As for snapping yourself with a rubber band, as long as it doesn’t mark and make damage, I don’t see a problem with it.

What sins does Allah (SWT) forgives and what sins he doesn't forgive?
What if for the sin we have repented deeply and promises Allah to not repeat the sin again. Can you mention in detail

There are no sins that Allah doesn’t forgive if one repents and makes amends.
But if one dies that is a different story, Allah doesn’t not forgive ‘shirk’ - associating others with Allah - other than that, Allah may forgive.
But I wouldn’t take my chances, I would repent and make amends now.
If the sin is against others, I need to get forgiveness from the other parties I have oppressed.

I have a question about creating a business. Basically my concept is to create a tournament for a video game (requires skill cannot be won off of luck). Where each team pays an entrance fee, and there are cash prizes for winners and runners-up. People would sign up on the website and compete against each other to win. The business would profit by subtracting the prize value from the revenue received from the players in the tournament.

Would this be permissible? If not, what would make it halal?

So it’s a registration fee that will be used to run the tournament. This would be no different to how sporting leagues are run.
However it is important for me to point out. Working isn’t only for making money, as this guaranteed from Allah. Working is to provide people with a good or service; something that is beneficial to humanity. A gaming tournament is hardly that, this only will encourage people to remain slothful in acquiring their sustenance. That being said, I don’t see where it is forbidden.

My question is regarding the offset account which is normally attached to a home loan. Normally offset account helps with the home loan repayment’s interest figure. If there is an amount in that offset account does khums have to be paid on that figure if- 1. The amount is owned by that individual 2. The amount is owned by bank as part of the loan however it hasn’t been taken out.

1. Yes, you need to pay khums on it
2. No, if the bank owns it and you have no access to it then no.

I have a question which I could not figure out for myself. If Allah truly created us in pairs like he promised us in the Holy Quran, why do some people never find a partner to marry. Like Bibi Fatme in Qom Iran or Prophet Jesus a.s. Or even females around us who are not getting any proposals.

Creating things in pairs does not mean that you and a spouse were created for one another. Every living thing was created in pairs as in a male and a female.

Is there more of a description to Jannah that human mind cannot process or imagine? As In there are true facts to Jannah that the human being cannot fathom with the mind in this life?

Yes, from what we have read there most definitely is. It is sufficient to say that what is of this world is perishable and all things come to an end. To deal with an eternal world will be hard to grasp in our mind.

Can you take nebuliser whilst fasting. Is it permitted?

As long as the medicine isn’t been swallowed, your fast is valid.

What qualities of human beings make them equal or superior than angel’s?

When a human has mastership over his desires then he is elevated above the angels.

I’m following one hadeeth of Imams that is to eat less. Our imams have said one of the qualities of our Shia is they are thin because of less eating , they are pale due to night ibadat and dry lipped due continues zikr of Allah. Since I follow this from more than 18 months, now my body condition is I’m very lean, every bone of my body is out even my cheek bone are also out. Seeing this my parents, relatives all are requesting me to eat more at least let the bones of my body cover with flesh and my cheek bones hide. But alhamdullilah I’m strong and have no other health issues, the only thing is my parents want me to eat more and cover face and body bones. Now what shall I do listen to my parents or continue to follow hadeeth. Please guide me

Follow the teachings of Ahlul Bayt (as). Obeying your parents is above all that you have mentioned.

Islam strictly forbids seeing porn, naked images and namahrams. If we follow this totally and stay away from it, our minds starts to forget all that things but science says we should maintain our sex life other wise man will losse his sex power. As for the youth, what can they do in this case because married couple has no problem in this issue but unmarried, what they have to do if they stay away from porn or naked images? They’ll lose their sex power but if they stay connected to it then it is haram to watch. What Islam suggest about this and what if marrying early is not possible to solve the problem

Science says? Who is science? You need to provide evidence and research to make such a claim. Because this claim is false. On the contrary one must preoccupy themselves with other things to remove these thoughts. They must endeavour to get married as soon as possible to unleash their desires.
It is forbidden to view pornography, you won’t lose your libido don’t worry, it will be put hold.
How do we maintain a good sex life? Through marriage, permanent or temporary.

In your opinion do orchestras which usually play classical music symphonies count as amusement gatherings? Or are amusement gatherings generally more up beat party type environments?

This is not based on my opinion, this is based on what is known, are symphony orchestras considered to be music played in places of entertainment by the general public? This is a question that you personally must deduce, my response is valid for me only and not for you. So I cannot respond to this unfortunately.

Is it permissible to use a cellphone during a mustahab salat in order to read it the right way if we have not memorized the instructions? Like salat-e-witr for example. Also, is it permissible to use a cellphone to read a specific dua during qunoot?

This is no different to holding a book. You are reading the same thing, only the medium is different. So it’s ok for what you have asked about.

In Quran its clearly mentioned that dont get divided into sects hold on to the rope of Allah but still why there are so many sects in Muslims?
And if Allah wanted us to be one then why Allah did not guided Muslims to be one?

If Allah makes every person follow one faith, then there is no trial and we don’t have free will. Your duty is to follow what Allah commanded you to follow. All main Sunni texts state that one should follow Quran and Ahlul Bayt, then why do they follow Abu Bakr and Umar? This is the question that should be asked.

1) Will swimming pool water be considered as kur water?

2) Also will the water become Narjis if other non-believers also swim in it?

1) If it is a pool that has more than 384 litres, that is in all three dimensions greater than 36 hand spans, then yes

2) If it is greater than a Kurr, as long as the smell, colour or taste of the water doesn’t change it remains pure.

Can we purchase grocery and other non alcoholic things from a supermarket (like Woolworths, Coles, Aldi in Australia) which also sells liquor and alcoholic beverages in the same premise?

Yes, their primary product is not alcohol, you haven’t walked into a bar to purchase groceries.

I had been feeling restless, anxious with constant worry and thoughts. I cannot find happiness or satisfaction. I had taken professional help and I am on medication from three years but there is no cure nor do I feel better. I am always concerned about my health, my future and my past sins. I am not offering Namaz and I do not know why is this happening, I need your help. Please suggest a course so that I resolve the issues and feel happy without being worried.

Firstly, may Allah alleviate your pain. You need to understand that happiness and satisfaction is only a result of being content.
Medicine is only a placebo when it comes to these issues.

Despair is the bane of hope, it is the opposite of hope, it is a distinctive feature of the unbeliever.
Allah says in his Holy Quran

إِنَّهُ لاَ يَيْأَسُ مِن رَّوْحِ اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الْكَافِرُونَ
[12:87] surely none despairs of Allah's mercy except the unbelieving people.

There is a deep rooted connection between despair and disbelief. Because the disbeliever’s thoughts and beliefs are all based upon cause and effect; They don’t believe in الإرادة الإلاهية (Gods will or wish).

The physical laws pertain to us, he transcends all of this.

The nature of this life is to have problems and issues. We always hear people complain about their issues, but we are here to be tried and not to live in comfort, comfort was only created for the hereafter.

An individual upon encountering a problem automatically feels it is the end of the road.

إِن مَّسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَئُوسٌ قَنُوطٌ

May I take house loan from bank if suppose, I want to buy a house, which has value  100000 EUR. Bank will be pay all money directly to the house owner. After it, as per mutual commitment, I will pay 120000EUR via installment (667 EUR per month in 15 years) to the same Bank.
Pls advise me is that permissable or not according to Quran o Hadees's references?

It is forbidden to take it with the intention of loan with the condition of paying interest. However, it is permissible to take the money from the bank that is financed by non-Muslim government or private funds. The knowledge that the bank will sooner or later force him to pay the capital as well as the interest does not affect [the lawfulness of] his taking the money.

My friend did mutah with a women without she getting permission from her wali so i told them to follow sayid sadiq al ruhani. Does the woman now need any permission from her wali or is their marrige valid? They both followed Sayid Sadiq Ruhani after they did the sigra.

They can’t just choose to follow a marja to make things valid. He shouldn’t have done muta with a virgin.
There was a similar scenario asked to Sayed Sadeq Rouhani.

He has responded that this isn’t permissible in the manner that you have asked.
So your friend should abstain from this woman and seek permission from her wali if intends on continuing the relationship.

Wanted to ask how to treat dhan in Salah. Let’s say you are praying and get doubt in sajdah if it’s the first one or 2nd one. Your mind and the way you pray tells you it’s 2nd should you follow it ? It’s like over 50% probability

If you are still in a seated position and are in doubt, then you must prostrate again.

Had a question about food ingredients

1) For non meat products, are we suppose to check the ingredients all the time, for ingredients that may have alcohol or animal material or something not allowed

2) I was look at ingredients of nuts and it said it may have some fish ingredients. Upon research, it looked it the fish food category was inclusive of haraam fish am I allowed to eat these nuts ?

3) About Qiblah : after seeing the direction can I pray everyday at home without having to use a compass to exactly see the direction when I know the direction by head but not 100%

1) You should check the ingredients on a product you don’t usually consume, but this doesn’t mean to contact the company, so on and so forth. If it is non meat, there is no obligation as long as you feel satisfied that this product would not contain meat products.

2) You should avoid eating these nuts.

3) Yes, as long as you are facing the direction of the Qibla within the quadrant angle of the direction.

Had a question about istibra. Below is the method from Ay Sistani:

Answer: Istibrāʾ is a recommended (mustaḥabb) act performed by men after urinating in order to be confident that no urine is left in the urethra, and its not compulsory to perform. It is performed in a number of ways; one way is as follows: after urinating, the anus is first purified if it has become impure; then, the middle finger of the left hand is slid three times from the anus up to the scrotum; then, the thumb is placed on the penis and the forefinger is placed under the penis, and the thumb and forefinger are pulled three times along the penis up to the point of circumcision; finally, the end of the penis is pressed three times.

Is it okay to do just part 2 and 3 and skip part one – the Anus part

You are not putting your finger in your anus. The anus is the starting point, and no you can’t skip it.

What is the ruling if for example you had doubt if it was your first or seconds sajdah and you could not make up your mind so you treated it as your first as per ruling but in the following rakat your dhaan tells you it was 2nd sajdah so now you have a strong feeling you did 3 sujood

If you are doubtful, ignore the doubt as the time has passed, if you are certain that you have made an extra sajdah then continue prayers and do sajdata al sahw after completion of the prayers.

I make different flag designs for fun or for friends of mine. Is there any ruling on using animals on a flag? More specifically I would like to use an Eagle, is that allowed?

You can’t sculpture an animal but you can draw one

Is tafakkur or contemplation a prequisite in learning?

Reflection is important for many things especially before acting upon them. As for learning what is most important is forbearance and patience. Without this one can’t learn.

I am in debt which I am struggling to repay and at the same time I want to get married for which I need money which will again put me in debts. I need to avoid sins but it looks very difficult. Please advise

A debt is a great concern, it affects our affairs in our day to day life. You need to firstly ask Allah to assist you in repaying your debt. And ask him to assist you to get married. Then you need to write out a plan as to how you intend of repaying the debt. And then work with the plan you have designed. As for avoiding sins, it is difficult, but try your best to abstain. And if you fail repent and start again. Allah’s door never closes.

I live in a family of five and don't get much privacy and I often find myself doing dua and speaking to Allah and the Imam in the shower is this permissible? I don't mean to be disrespectful when I do it, I just feel closer to Allah. When I do it another time, I feel tired or don't feel too comfortable or spiritual as I don't get much privacy. I also tried speaking to Allah during salah but I don't enjoy praying.

My second question is how do I enjoy praying and stop wanting to rush?

There is no problem with conversing in the shower, it’s disliked to talk when one is relieving themselves however.
Do avoid rushing prayers remember two things.
1. That you may die after the prayer is concluded.
2. That whatever you want is in the hands of the one you are praying to and not in anyone else’s hand. So why would you rush your meeting with the main connection to all your needs?

I'm curious how will Imam Mehdi die as he will probably be martyred like every other Imam but if he dies, won't that mean the Earth would be left without a hujjah?

There is some contention surrounding this subject. We do know that the Imam (as) will die, as every soul shall taste death.
We believe in الرجعة (the return). That the Imams will return, a narration says that he will be buried by imam Husayn (as). So therefore the will still be hujjah until kingdom come.

I have a question what is Ilm e Jafr. I heard some people have it. How do you achieve it?

What it is علم الجفر, is knowledge that has been taught from Prophet to Prophet of Prophecies and things to transpire. This was exclusively dictated to Imam Ali (as) by the Messenger of Allah (S).
This is different to what is commonly known today, ilm al jafr today is like Nostradamus or The Simpsons predicting the future. Every time something happens people will say it has already been mentioned in the jafr.
So no you can’t acquire it, don’t believe those that claim to know these things they are merely charlatans and will be exposed eventually.

What is the best time for studying? Like when should I study? Also what is the best day for studying? What foods are good for studying in the Islamic way?

Studying in the early hours of the morning after sunrise and also before you sleep, you need a quiet environment for study. To get a stronger memory for your studies. Eat honey first thing in the morning and eat walnuts whenever you eat cheese.

Is it allowed for me after I read Al Fatiha I take my Quran and read the pages I’m left at and leave the Quran whenever I want? Is this permissible? (I’m in prayer) but mustahab prayer I want to know if this is allowed to do after I read Al Fatiha in mustahab prayer I then read the Quran the pages I’m left of and leave whenever I want

Yes this is permissible

There are so much delay in my Duas I don’t know why I don’t sin or I sin really less and I do tawbah but then why is my Duas not getting accepted? I don’t ask for dunya I only asked for like some things but like I asked especially for seeing the masumeen someone of them but I can’t see them I do Aamals but I can’t see them.

Dua has its prerequisites, these are what make a dua heard.
Also I cannot stress enough that the acceptance of the dua in no way will mean an immediate result . It may even be postponed until judgement day; on that day the supplicant will be so overwhelmed that at that moment he will wish that none of his other requests had been granted in the dunya.
When one understands the requirements for acceptance of dua, they will understand why some duas are not answered as they wish.
Nothing escapes the knowledge of the Almighty Allah. There is wisdom behind all His decisions; and due to this a dua being answered is contingent on whether or not it is of benefit to the supplicant or not.
An example is when a child asks his mother if he can play with fire. Would you allow your child to play with fire.
Most of the duas that we make to Allah (swt) are detrimental to us, though we perceive it not.
As one narration states: “There are those amongst My servants for whom only wealth is suitable [as opposed to poverty], and were I to consign them to anything else, they would have certainly perished. And indeed there are those amongst my servants for whom only poverty is suitable, and were I to consign them to anything else, they would have indeed perished.”

Al-Majlisi says the following about response to dua:
1. Allah’s (awj) promise to grant the requests made to Him is conditioned on whether they are in accordance with His will, for Allah (awj) says, He will remove that for which you supplicated Him, if He wished (6:41).
2. Allah (awj) accepts the supplication right away but postpones granting the supplicant’s request so that the latter would continue in his supplication, for the believer is the beloved of Allah (awj) and He loves to hear His beloved.
3. Allah (awj) grants only those requests that are to the advantage of the supplicant.

There is always God's representative on earth at any point of time. Who is God's Hujjah between the period of Prophet Isa and Prophet Muhammad pbuh & hf?

There is always a hujjah, the first was Simon (Peter) and then there was a chain all the way to Abu Taleb, who was the final hujjah before the Prophet Muhammad (as)

Does our beloved Lady Fatimah
1. See the angels esp Jibrail or hear Jibrail
2. Receive inspiration but not revelation
3. Does she speak to the angels?

Lady Fatima (as) is the lady of the women of the worlds, her status is greater than all the creation, except the Prophet and Imam Ali.
Jibreel and Mikaeel were serving her in one narration.
Her home was where the angels would gather and was a place of revelation.

Is shaitan created with the same freewill as humans? How do they reproduce and how do they look like? Are there any hadiths on these?

Yes Shaitan is a Jinn, and the Jinn have free will.
In a very long narration narrated by our sixth Imam (as), Allah the almighty agrees to give Shaitan two offspring for every one Adam (as) has. As for his appearance, I have never read any descriptions about this, I am unaware if there are any present. But I have not found any.

I work as a tradesman and everyday I go to peoples houses for work. Most of the time I don’t leave my city or the required distance for me to pray qasr but on some occasions I travel a far distance and fulfils all other requirements for Qasr. Seeing as I have travelled for work, am I supposed to do my full prayers or Qasr prayers?

You would pray qasr in the above mentioned case.

When an unmarried couple has a baby, does the baby go to hell?

Would you send a sinless baby to hell?
Then how can you imagine the most merciful would even consider this?

Does it exist any marja who forbids tattoos completely?

If the tattoo is made to imitate unbelievers or the opposite gender, then yes they all forbid it in this manner. But none I know of completely forbid tattoos

I am currently in a situation where I do not know what to do, so I was hoping I could ask you for advice. Recently, my parents have become more controlling of me and my siblings lives than ever. We are all old (22,19, and 18), and their restrictions are holding us back from doing many things we need for the sake of our educations. They are afraid that if we are out past 7 PM something terribly bad will happen to us, and we’ll end up getting mugged or killed. I understand their fear, however when we go out at night we are not in dangerous parts of town, and we do not participate in any dangerous activities, since we are at work or at the university studying. Additionally, they keep trying to force religious standards on us, (for example, forcing my sister to wear the hijab in the way they like), and because of those force my sister has told me that she intends on taking off the hijab. When they talked to her about the hijab they cussed at her and told her they’d make her life hell, and it certainly did not help the situation. My question is, would it be alright to distance ourselves from them? What if we moved out against their will? Would that be haram?

Firstly you must understand the position of the parent in the eyes of Allah. And although their methods may be perceived as harsh by you and your siblings; from what you are saying they are acting in your best interests.
I can’t see any grounds for you wishing to leave the home, all you are doing is running away from one trial to a harsher one.
If your sister wishes to remove her hijab this is not due to your parents but more to lack of faith. Would you stab yourself because you hated your neighbour? This is pretty much the reasoning your sister is using to disobey Allah.
Allah is pleased when your parents are pleased and angered when they’re angered.
You need to listen to your parents and be a good and obedient child, because by what you have stated your parents are religious parents. Parenting is not an easy task, if you upset them you will suffer in life and then the hereafter.
Now, this is how you should deal with the situation, you should sit and talk to them respectfully and if they insist you must accept their wishes.
May Allah guide us all.

I recently came to know that I have severe illness related to my male sexuality. And advised by doctor to not get married for 1 and 2 years. My family is already planning my wedding in coming days but unfortunately I have to refused that. I am severely depressed mentally. Please advise me any special amal or dua for my illness so that I can get cure easily and get married.

If this is done in the morning after fajr prayers with sincerity, it does not fail.

Regarding tattoos, is there hormeh in doing mut3a (as a divorcee) with a male in order to do a tattoo?

A divorcee can do muta with a Muslim man only.

1) A person has hit his wife during pregnancy in the past and hits her now with things such as steel bottle. Is it allowed? His reason for hitting is that she does not cook for his family. Is cooking for in-laws wajib upon her?

2) Also the husband has not taken responsibility of paying expenses of the wife as well as his children. It has been more than 10 years of marriage. He never pays the food expenses, cloth expenses, house rent etc. Is that okay? The wife herself pays all of the expenses

1) No it is forbidden to hit her, and she is not obligated to cook for his family.

2) No it is not okay

My family has completely severed all connection with me since I have embraced Islam and wear hijab. I have tried countless times to reestablish the connection but to no avail. Calls and messages remained unanswered untill I was blocked. When going to their home, the door was slammed in my face each time. Mails and letters remain unanswered. they do not want any contact with me at all.
Will I be held accountable as having severed these ties if I stop trying to knock on their door?

Why would you be held accountable when it is they that have severed ties with you. They will be held accountable, you've made your attempts to no avail, so as long as you are willing to connect the tie you've done your duty; they're the ones thar have severed ties.

What can I do to make my trust in Allah so strong that nothing can break me again? How can I make my trust in Allah so strong that nothing will hurt me? I really have nowhere to go and no one to turn to. I am cast out by muslims and non muslims alike.
Allah is all I have and I want to pass these tests. I just don't know how
I pray the five fard, I pray qiyam and tahajjud both, I pray sunrise, I learn and study but I am still stuck with all these issues and the isolation and loneliness it brings
Can you please tell me what I can do to prove myself worthy to Allah? I learned sabr but I am searching for reda

At what point do people understand that the world is not without suffering?
Allah will take you to the border of hopelessness
He pushes the test to its limits, but the solution is solely with him, so we keep a firm grip. The nature of this life is to have problems and issues. We always hear people complain about their issues, and portray false lives on social media.
إِنَّهُ لاَ يَيْأَسُ مِن رَّوْحِ اللّهِ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الْكَافِرُونَ عَلِيمٌ
[12:87] surely none despairs of Allah's mercy except the unbelieving people.
Despair is the opposite of hope; despair is qunoot and end of hope in the mercy of ALLAH
The disbeliever’s thoughts and beliefs are all based upon cause and effect, physical laws govern all.
They don’t believe in God’s will and ability
The physical laws pertain to us, he transcends all of this.
This is essential in belief.
Sometimes our despairing state is a result of a known thing, like if a person has an illness and is afraid it becomes greater.
Sometimes a person is in fear and does not know why
What causes this?
Fear, we are naturally afraid of everything, and everyone tells us the worst.
‎إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا
Indeed, mankind was created anxious:
Mankind of today are the most anxious, the most fearful and the most despondent of all time.
They live in the age of technology
Widespread illness the many strands of influenza, AIDS, Ebola, SARS, Zika and now COVID-19
Potential wars all around you, the situation brewing in the Persian Gulf.
One person every 40 seconds commits suicide; and approximately one person every 2 seconds is attempting suicide.
‎يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ
Paranoia
How do I cure this?
‎Reliance on Allah because I need to believe that although all the observable and material causes are before me, I need that unseen factor to make things happen.
An individual upon encountering a problem automatically feels it is the end of the road.
‎إِن مَّسَّهُ الشَّرُّ فَيَئُوسٌ قَنُوطٌ
[41:49] if evil touches him, he is hopeless and despairing.
Blessings followed by affliction
When person loses a blessing they lose their minds
‎وَلَئِنْ أَذَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِنَّا رَحْمَةً ثُمَّ نَزَعْنَاهَا مِنْهُ إِنَّهُ لَيَئُوسٌ كَفُورٌ
[11:9] and if we give man a taste of mercy from us and then we withdraw it from him, indeed, he is despairing and ungrateful.
Prophet Ayoub
‎وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
[21:83] and [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful."
Allah improved his situation after a long trial.
سَيَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ بَعْدَ عُسْرٍ يُسْرًا
[65:7] Allah will bring about, after hardship, ease.
The believer in the worst situations should fill their heart with hope.

Story of Ibrahim and Zachariah and having a child at an old age
Ibrahim and his wife were aged between the 90’s to 100 plus

[15:53-56] surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. He said: Do you give me good news (of a son) when old age has come upon me? -- Of what then do you give me good news! They said: We give you good news with truth, therefore be not of the despairing. He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?"

Likewise with the case of Zachariah
Many a times we see that people - who have no means whatsoever - are able to get rid of their afflictions and distress.
Due to the grace of Sadaqah, incurable diseases are cured and destitute become rich
People surrounded by calamities are saved in ways they could not have even imagined.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, the hidden benevolence of God.

Different people are tested differently, your trial is immense. But your solution is with Allah alone, whether you submit to this or not. This is the case.

Please help me interpret this verse 65:4 Al Talaq, mentions the 3 months waiting period for those in menopause, those who haven’t gotten their period and those who are pregnant. I was a little surprised to see what “those who have no menstruated” was on the list. Does this mean pubescent girls? If thats what it means, then pubescent girls have to wait the three month (Iddah) to make sure theyre not pregnant with their ex husbands baby?

“Those who have not menstruated” means any woman who is yet to have a period.
Who says that the waiting period is to determine that she isn’t pregnant? If that is the case, then why are there many different types of waiting periods. Just to add the pregnancy part is part of the ruling, but not the reason for the ruling.

If a string got najis when the najis cloths are not washed properly. Can it become pak with the sun light? If it's difficult to flow running water over it, what is the other method to make it pak.

You need to purify it with water, if you don’t have running water then you use other types of water.

Is it Haram to participate and support an army that I know has done crimes against Muslims? Like if that army kills Muslims and does bad things and this is well known . Is it allowed to participate in the army or support it financially?

It is definitely forbidden

What is the Islamic ruling regarding saying “Wallah” or like promising saying I swear by Allah when it’s not the truth or like the one who said it lying. I heard it has a kafarrah for fasting for 3 days, is this true? My marja is Sayed Sistani what does he say regarding this issue? Also is the kaffarah wajib to do meaning what if I don’t do it? Will I go to hell?

Someone who says qasam falsely should feed ten poor people each (750) grams of wheat or bread

Who is the most knowledgeable marja to follow?

There are many that are considered to be qualified. But I would choose Sayed Ali Sistani.

What are some definite signs of Imam Mahdi? Can you please tell them chronologically.

There are 5 inevitable signs, however these are directly associated with immediate appearance of the Imam (as), so that there is no excuse left for anyone on the face of the earth, to say: They did not know the Imam, or have any doubt about him.
1. The Sufyani : He will lead the dark armies, he may be what has been referred to as the Antichrist or the Dajjal (the imposter).
2. The Yamani : He is the harbinger of the coming of the Imam, a righteous man and a leader.
3. The sinking of the desert: an army of the Sufyani will sink into the desert and perish.
4. The killing of The Pure Soul: a Righteous man who is a descendant of the second imam (as) will be killed next to the Kaaba in Masjid al Haram.
5. The call in the skies: a call in the heavens that everyone will hear no matter where they are, that will let everyone know that the imam (as) has appeared.

I can't help myself listening to music during my studies to get concentrartion. Tell me how to solve this?

Listen to something permissible, Quran, dua, nasheed, latmiyah, permissible revolutionary songs.

I have recently read somewhere that on the day of judgement your good deeds will be transferred to someone's account whom you have hurt as compensation.

1) Would that happen with parents also ? I mean would parents also take away good deeds of their children because they have hurt them at some point in their lifetime.
If yes, then what is the point of having relations here when a sweet and selfless bond like parent-child will become selfish and sour on the day of judgement that parents who used to sacrifice everything for their child in this world would snatch away good deeds and throw their child to hell?

2) We are humans and there are certain times when we can have disagreements with our parents. Sometimes we also had fights over certain things. Its not that we never loved each other but yes in those fights or disagreements definitely it might be possible that hearts were hurt. But I know in this world parents can never think bad of their child but if this relationship is so sweet in this world then why would god make it sour there. By sourness I meant that instead of forgiveness for they would want compensation that might empty the entire good deeds of their child

1) It’s not a straightforward process and not the way you perceive it.
If someone is insolent to their parents they are insolent to God. How do you interpret someone getting their rights from someone as selfish and sour? If you have harmed people then the day of judgement is where all scores get settled. Rather than worry about that then, worry about it now and fix it so you won’t lose your good actions and procure their bad actions.

2) A believer is forgiving in nature, parents generally will forgive you in their life time. You can’t claim something in the next world if you have forgiven in this world. So I don’t think that your parents will turn brutal in the hereafter.
As for disagreements, this is a natural part of life. An insolent child is one who is bad in nature to their parents.

I and my cousin like each other and want to get marry, we are not in any kind of haram relationship. Because of some family issues his mother doesn't wants him to marry me and has fixed his marriage with some other girl, but I still pray to get married to him. My question is, is my dua to marry him illegitimate? Can I still pray for marrying him?
If yes can you please recommend me any dua or amaal so that I get in nikah with him.

Yes you can pray to marry him, but it will only happen if it is what is best for both of you.

I stay in gulf country where our mosques are hardly few and the place where I work is far from our mosque. Can I pray my zohar and Asr at any other mosque with my hands folded (in taqiyah) and will it be counted as a valid prayer and performed at avale waqt or I should have to repeat my prayers once I am back home as per our fiqh (by keeping hands aside and with turbah)?

It is obligatory to pray your prayers in the set time. It is recommended to pray these prayers in a mosque. If you are forced to fold your arms, then you should be praying elsewhere. If there is nowhere else to pray then you should pray when you get home as long as it is still in the set time. If waiting till you get home means that you will be praying Qadha then you should find a new job.

If I made a mobile phone najis and now dont remember exactly which part was made najis and whether it was made 1st 2nd or 3rd muttanajis, then can I consider it pak? What should be done?

Purify the whole phone, or don’t touch it with a wet hand.

I had a question is temporary tattoo allowed if it is not in place of wudhu like if it’s on chest neck or on upper arm?

As long as it doesn’t resemble the opposite gender or the unbeliever and it doesn’t prevent water reaching the skin for ghusl. Then there would be no issue with it.

I wanted to ask a question regarding the visitation of the cemetery by women on their menstrual cycle, I have heard they should avoid it as they are in a state of najasat, and there are spirits in the cemetery who may not be at ease. Please advise on the recommendation as I understand there is no objection to it

I have never read or heard of such a thing in our teachings

I am asking this question on behalf of my friend. It is regarding Bribery. She was house hunting and found a house she really liked, however the house had alot of interest, so the agent told her to give her some money under the table and he ll ensure she gets the house. Which means, the agent will by any chance pass only my friend’s offer to the house owner. Is this permissible?

The agent is not representing his client in the client’s best interest, I would totally abstain from such a transaction.

How can one go about understanding controversial issues like the punishment of Blasphemy and Apostasy within Islam, especially with regards to the fatwa by Sayed Khomeini against Rushdie?
Do Islam’s jurisprudential rulings apply beyond the confines of its borders?

To begin with, the problem is that people only pick out a part of the entire system, instead of looking at it as a whole. Take for example, the eye as a whole is a beautiful and an amazing creation, but in pieces it looks abhorrent. So if I look at bits and pieces of the religion and based them on my prejudiced thought it won’t align.

Islam isn’t about cutting a thieves hand or killing an apostate, this is what the unbeliever wants to bring out in order to attack the religion.
This is only acceptable with a full functioning Islamic System.

Another thing, if there is no punishment, then there is no security, the classic paradox, without law and order, man has no freedom.

As for the jurisdiction of Islam, no country’s government is limited to their borders. If the sovereignty of any nation is breached they will cross borders to defend their rights.

Is it halal to live on occupied land like in Australia where they displaced and colonised the Aboriginals? Is permission needed from the Aboriginal tribe leader?

If you have certainty that the land that you are living on is someone else’s personal property then this would be the case. The aboriginal people can’t lay claim to ownership of 7.9million km squared.
Neither can the Australian government, but because they are the ruling body, you must abide by the laws.
