If while praying, thoughts came to one’s mind and he started having an erection but when he realizes he stops thinking and the erection stops. Is the prayer still valid?

Prayers are valid but will not benefit you spiritually

I have been talking with a girl over chat for sometime to know each other… As we have talked, she told me that she was in co-education in school till 12th grade. She did use to talk with her male class mates and had friendship with them too…She says she has always maintained boundaries though and has never been informal with them. But I do not agree with her as I think that adding them on social media or even meeting them in general is wrong.

I myself have been someone who has avoided female interaction all my life in school and university, never had any female friends. I did it due to religious regions and also I always thought that since I want a similar partner later in life, I should also keep myself that way.

However, since the person I am about to marry is not like that, I feel bad sometimes about why did I not get a similar partner when I have maintained myself that way all my life. I keep on overthinking about all this and making strange scenarios in my head. Such as her male friends looking at her social media pictures with lust or just in general while meeting her or being around her. Thinking about all these things makes me get anxious and frustrated that other men have seen her and have been talking to her or clicking pictures with her.

I don’t know how to get rid of these thoughts and overthinking, or resolve this situation, can you please guide me on that?

Better start ayat al kursee wird after every namaz and recite 4 qul 3 times a day.
Inshallah it shall be resolved.

The front of my shoe was najis (due to urine that had fallen on it) and there was snow outside and I stepped in places where the snow was deep, now I don’t know if my shoe is pure or not.

1) If snow touched it once does it suffice? (small quantity of snow)

2) Or does it have to touch it twice?

3) If I don’t know if now my shoes or najis or not after having come into contact with snow do I treat them as pure (I don’t know if the quantity was enough or not or if it touched twice or not)

Nnow doesn't make things pak water has to run on it

If while putting out excrements with qalil water, najis water bounces back at my hand amd my hand is touching anus, can I just purify where the najis water bounced back to or do I have to make all hand and my anus pure again?

Just where you are sure its najis najss needs to be made pak.

I’m a person who doubts a lot in things like Najasa, Taharah, Wudhu, Ghusl etc. My Ghusl takes around 30 mins, so this should give you an idea of how much I doubt. I tried correcting myself but to no success so I wanted to seek help from a learned person like you.

Is there any aamal or dhikr to get rid of such doubts etc. ?

Its a psychological problem which can be treated by a psychatrist easily so please consult and get rid of this

I want to ask if there is any significance of ilm ul adad in Islam and is it recommended to name your child using ilm ul adad?

If I have foreign currency and I’m told that the exchange rate will go up in a few days and I could yield more profit from it, is that profit halal?

Its allowed.

Sorry for my odd question, but this had me wondering for years. In Jannah anything is possible- can a person then change his/her gender and be the opposite. I am a woman who are tired of being treated as the weak gender. Dunya is cruel and this is as I have heard people say “man’s world”. I wanted to know if a person could from female to a male or opposite in paradise? Or is a person permanently stuck with this identity we have here in this Dunya.

Females shall be much more respected and honored there so dont miss the grand opportunity. All what you face as a momina is to be rewarded million times better, but choice should be there

If my mother says that she doesnt want me to go to Karbala for ziayat, can I still go?

Listen to ur mother thats preferred in Islam.

I wanted to ask if there are any references from the Quraan about Hazrat Isa AS being raised up to heavens alive and his reappearance. (It’s for the discussions with Ahmadis)

"...and certainly they did not kill him, Rather Allah raised him up toward Himself... [4:157-158]"

Reappearance of Hazrat Isa:
There is none among the People of the Book but will surely believe in him *before his death*; and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them [4:159]

I read on a website that if a person brings a TV at home, so whenever his family sees movies or listen to music, song and dance and al faahisha, the person who brought this at home will get gunaah for sin even after his death.

Is this statement correct? As per my understanding every person is responsible for their own act so how the negative use of TV or computer or any gadget a person buys and hand over to family, he/she is responsible for the misuse?

Every person is responsible of his own act and its effects on person or group or family or society. Ao he is indeed responsible for all his good and bad acts.

What should one do as a child who is getting married and want it to be simple and easy but parents are forcing to do things that are not allowed in Islam, like
1. Gold ring for men
2. Big events including mehndi event
3. Jahaiz
And they are giving "these are society standards, we have to do this, everyone does that" statement in argument.
Where do I stand in all this situation?

We need to explain them as much as possible and avoid haram things to get barakat in our future life and stay away from the unhappiness of Allah s.w.t. If one goes after society norms, then society norms have no boundaries. What is the extent? And they all indeed don't believe in Allah and Ahl e bait (as). In this case they are not answerable to anyone but we are answerable.

I am a resident of Karachi, Pakistan. I intend to invest some amount in a religiously acceptable manner. I was considering putting it in a savings account at a local bank or some government bonds etc.
if it is not allowed can you please shed light on the investment options allowed in islam

Keeping ones money in a saving system is always allowed. Banks are also a source of saving money etc. if one deposit the money with the intention of saving his earnings it is allowed. The only condition is if they dont give anything extra or give less then what was expected, one has no right to demand.

Mainay apnay saray paisay HBL Islamic Saving account mai dalay hoay hain. Account banatay waqt unhune bataya tha ke Islamic Saving acc ke investments aisi hoti hain ke risk kum hota and tabhi profit kum hota. To ye jo profit mujhay milta hai, kia ye sahi hai? Normal saving account ke paisay banks shares mai lagatay hain jiska buhat high risk hota hai and high return. Islamic Saving ke paisay mudaraba method se use hotay hain. So ye profit kia jayez hai?

Yes it is halal if under proper islamic contracts.

Most of us in Indian subcontinent appear in competitive bank exams and secure reputed bank jobs. Is it permissible to work in banking sector. Also some of us get employment opportunities in financial sector like insurance, stock broking, mutual funds etc. Is it permissible to work in these sectors?

Other than banks, it is not difficult. If the company is not indulging in haram matters, it is allowed. In banks, any position dealing directly with riba is not permissible.

When advertising a business there is a lot of information that can be left out, to help persuade the consumer to purchase the product/service. For example, a bottle of yogurt can say “80% fat free” which actually also means there’s “20% fat”. They advertise in a way to manipulate the persons emotions to make the sale. Or another example is a company might say, “this stock can make you $1,000 in 1 day”. Technically any stock can make that type of profit in one day.

Or another example is you make the person feel like they are going to lose weight with your product but you never actually guarantee anything, you just lead them to believe it with advertising.

People will buy things based on how they feel.

Is there specific islamic rules you have to follow when advertising? At what point does it become unethical/haram?

Any way of cheating is haram but putting attractive things ahead may not be haram. Misinformation or lying is forbidden

A lot of people in Pakistan buy property or car through bank on lease over a period of time. What is the ruling on buying property or car on lease, when you know that you will end up paying more than the actual amount in the form of interest?

Leasing is allowed with the condition that all conditions of repayment are finalised in the begining, like repayment schedule, default regulations etc

Mein ik aesi Microfinance Foundation mein kam karta hon jahan hum loan 20% service charges (Markup Sood) pe dete hain or monthly installment pe recovery krte hain. Kiya hamari salary halal hay ya haram?

If it is service given to them and charged against that service its halal but if it is just a cover up then it is not allowed. Again if it is a sort of leasing its allowed and if its just loan then haram.

I have a question regarding trust and understanding between spouses. It has been noted especially during this pandemic, many couples are going through a difficult phase. Is there a dua where spouses can recite for each other for love, trust and understanding? Something that can bring them together at peace?
Also, a dua or amal, for spouses to appreciate and prioritize each other first before family/in laws? A lot of conflicts happen when husband prioritizes his family.

Patience is the best solution to all these problems

I would like some guidance on wearing masks in an imambargha. Back home in my village, worshippers are not wearing masks. Even those who are ill still come in the imambargha and their reason for this is that they get shifa by coming to the imambargha and that masks should not be worn. Can I have your opinion on this?

All power are with Allah. We are bound to take measures for our and society's safety. Rather it is considered as compulsory.

We often hear that anyone who dies on Saturday or Saturday shab, it is considered not a good day to die and even consider Monday also a bad day to die. Is there anything that is being said about this? We know that we have no control on when a person will leave this temporary world.

Also, I read that prophet Mohammad said that the day a person die, give sadka to save the person from wahshat of qabr and if you can’t do sadqa then perform namaz e wahshat. Want to know giving sadka is important or performing namaz?

Death is in the hands of Allah so no one can say anything about death time and day.
Yes sadqa has priority over first night namaz

1) Kaun si namaz buland awaz mein parhi jaye ar kaun si namaz dheemi.

3) Any loan money not returned and is in your control is liable to khums

We owe money to the bank as we had taken mortgage for our home. We want to sell some property, a house in which family members were living. These family members are not now in need of that house. We want to sell that house and pay that amount towards our mortgage .
My question is that , do we have to pay Khumus on that money. After paying this money to the bank towards our mortgage, still we will be owing some money but the only relief will be that some of our burden will become lighter.

If you immediately your mortgage before your khums date, khums wont be applicable.

I know that tohfatulawam contains some pages with a direction to the questions you have in mind. I wanted to know what are the etiquettes of acquiring an answer. Is there something like a dua or ism e azam we have to read before opening the book for the answer? I will appreciate any kinds of help! Also may I ask some effective duas and amal to ask for the impossible. I know nothing in front of Allah swt is impossible and I don’t want to lose hope either, maybe a dua or amal would work.

I dont believe in tohfatul awam way for finding things. You can recite Dua joshan e sageer. InshAllah your problems shall be solve and wishes fulfilled

I have a question regarding the following ruling:

“The fluid which a woman feels during foreplay or lustful thinking but it is not much to spread to other parts, is clean. Ghusl does not become obligatory in this case and it does not make wudhu void either but if there is much fluid and is called ejaculation and the fluid spreads to the underwear and this normally takes place during orgasm and full satisfaction, the fluid is najis (impure) and in this case ghusl becomes obligatory. In fact, if emission takes place without orgasm, the necessary precaution is that it is najis and it causes janabah.
Hence, if a woman enters the state of janabah intentionally with the details mentioned above, both Qadha and kaffara become obligatory on her. The obligatory precaution is that she should restrain from eating and drinking for the rest of the day”

I find it very difficult to perform ghusl everytime fluid discharged (due to lustful thoughts) reaches the underwear, as even if it is a very small amount it eventually reaches the underwear. This means I have to perform ghusl around 3 times everyday.

From some other sources I have read that ghusl is only required when an orgasm occurs, however this is different to what is stated on Sistani.org (shown above).

Please could you provide some clarification to the circumstances in which female ghusl is required, as this is very confusing and difficult to manage.

All this is when person becomes sure that such heavy ejaculation has taken place and which usually takes place in case of full sexual intercourse of very heay fore play, not during imaginations or simple foreplay. So no need to take ghsul for all such fluids coming out heavily or in small quantities

I work in the medical field in a hospital. All of us are expected to use alcohol-based hand sanitizers containing high percentages of alcohol to kill dangerous bacteria exposed on our skin. This alcohol is made from ethyl alcohol, not isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.

My question is whether or not exposure to this form of industrialized alcohol on the skin nullifies wudhoo (ritual ablution)?

All such alcohols are tahir and can be used for sanitizing and cleaning things and namaz is valid with such industrial alcohols except for muqalideen of Ayatullah Hafiz Basheer Najfi

Bibi Umme e Kulsoom was married to Janab E Aun bin jafar bin Abi Talib or Janab e Mohammad bin jafar bin Abi talib?

According to some historians, Umm Kulthum married 'Uwn b. Ja'far b. Abi Talib, her cousin. When he passed away, she married his brother, Muhammad.

I want to ask if praying extra nawafil on the bed is valid? If yes are there any conditions?

Also, if i pray for an amal, I recite 2 rakat on the prayer mat on the floor, can I continue reciting the tasbeehat on the bed which might include tasbeeh while I prostrate?

Both are allowed if mattress is not very soft.

Another question is about the way of wudhu. As I do not belong to a Muslim family, I am searching for the right way. As per sahih Muslim in the chapter of book of wudu hadith number 162 describes to wash feet thoroughly but I saw some video of YouTube in which the people of Shia community believe in wiping their feet. What are the evidence for supporting this case.

Actually reading one hadith and deducting a result is not the way of getting a Islamic law, rather one has to go through Quran and all hadith regarding that act and then a certified person announce the result if that act is compulsory or we have a choice or it is forbidden. On the contrary in other sects a single hadith is quoted and result deducted. The results are very clear

Can you recommend a book that defines the way of salah and the way of wudu?

Check https://www.al-islam.org/

Can you recommend a Quran translation in English by a shia scholar?

Translation of Agah Qulee Qaree printed from Qum.

I’m tempted to buy some food stuff on credit, on the internet. Is there anything I should consider transaction wise in fiqh?
Perhaps even akhlaq wise considering asking neighbors and fellow dwellers if they may need specific food stuffs?

Buying ration on credit is allowed.

I’m pretty sure its halal fiqh-wise, but spiritually/akhlaq-wise is my real inquiry

In regards to singing of (not ghina type) Christian-authored songs with the niyyah of dhikr, magnifying God, and lifting ones mood, perhaps better / safer to turn the Qur’an Pak instead?

If the wording are just praising Allah s.w.t. and no negative thing as per our ideology then one can sing or listen but no doubt Quran is the message of Allah all mercy ever mercy it has much more deep effect on souls and minds

My friend is a photographer and he is confused if photographing non Muslim weddings is allowed

If it does not have vulgarity or nuidity only then it is allowed.

What is the permissibility of using dice, those that are found in common board games especially in the west? For this purpose they aren’t used for gambling but they are generally known to be tools for such. Does the mere association with gambling make them impermissible to use or is it completely fine if used in the aforementioned context?

If a game is specific for gambling only, it's not permissible. If it's used for both as mentioned, then it may be used for non gambling purpose except the cards which are very common in gambling, it can't be used for non gambling also. Things like dice are not so specific with gambling and are used for normal playing also it can be used for non gambling games without any bet.

I recently had a conversation with my wife where I shared a hadith with her, which I recently came across, where it says, father has a complete right over his son & his sons complete financials.

Could you please shed a light on this.

Father is wali of children till the child becomes baligh, aaqil and is able to manage his matters. I would like to know the reference of what was said.

I am having a duscussion with some of my cousins regarding Quran and Shia creed. They are all sunnis (salafi). Their question is most of the sunni muslims follow the recitation of hafs narrated by Asim. The chain of narrators of the Quran are authenticated in Sunni books. But they could not found any authentication of these narrators in shia sources. As far as I know Hafs learned the quran recitation from Asim and Asim learned from Abdur Rahman Sulami who learned from Imam Ali (as) and they were all Shia narrators. But they are claiming that they were all Sunnis and Shias have taken quran from Sunnis. My questions-

1. We all know the Quran that is in our hand is in perfect form which was revealed to the prophet (sa). But what is the proof? How do Shias authenticate this?

2. Is there any different chain of narration of the Quran for Shias different than Sunnis?

3. Shias also follow the hafs qirat and this is the most pure qirat. But how do I prove to my brothers that the narrators were Shias? Is there any specific valid reference?

We all follow our Imam and as they accepted this Quran so we are also accepting this Quran which is authentic Alhamdulillah.

Recently I came across someone who told me that when there is a print on the Sajdagah/ Turbah, for example the name of an Imam or Bibi you cannot so sajdah on that particular part and you should flip the sajdagah and do sajdah on the plain part. Is this true? And if it is true then what if its a print of the name of Allah ?

It's allowed if the name does not distract ones attraction and doesnt stop proper sajdah then its allowed.

I have a certain amount on which I have already given khums last year. I still have that savings with me so is khums applicable on it or not?
For example ; I have 50000RS from which 10000 is from last year and I have already given a khums on it. So for now how much I will consider for khums?

No khums shall be on new savings or if the amount of last year becomes zero during the year and then you again get profit which is now actually an earning of this year, then khums shall be wajib this year.

Does believing the Prophet had other daughters make Fatima have less virtues?

Although her infallibility and virtues doesn't become less but facts are to be known that she was the only daughter of Holy Prophet s.a.w.w

Mujhe ye puchna h ki logo pr jab itni parehshaniya aati h jaise kahi earthquake aara h, kahi aag lag rhi h, kahi haj pe crain se itne log mar rahe h, kahi aatankwadi logo ko maar rahe h or khuda to sbse bada h sbse taqatwar h har cheez par qudrat rakhne wala h to Allah kyu nahi bachata logo ko in tragedies se. As Allah s.w.t. has based the system on freewill so he is giving chance to good people to be good by their own free will and bad people with their own free will. Although Allah s.w.t. helps a lot but the system of free will has its own effects, which for some appear to be good and for others bad.

I’ve got an issue with regarding to my prayer. As we know, prayer should be in a moderate speed, not rushing however when I’m working, I find it difficult to pray at that speed and I have to shorten my prayer. But the problem is, HOW do I shorten my prayer but at the same time be accepted in front of Allah(S.W.T). Can you please tell another alternative of prayer that I can quickly fit in during my working hours?

Just rely on wajibat of namaz in such situations.

Is shorting a currency also permissible? So when I buy eur/usd which is euro against dollar. When I short that pair then I buy usd against dollar. Is that permissible?

Yes please.

I studied the forex market nature for 3 year and I made a break through through consistency. I have a well developed trading plan with high probability trades and a proper risk management which includes 1%-0% risk. I have a islamic account which doesn’t have swap (interest) i have a 1:30 leverage.

There is this debate about the forex trading wether its halal or haram.
To me it doesn’t feel like that because I studied hard for it. For 3 years. I would like to know your opinion about it

Forex trade in itself is halal. Only trading in gold and silver is prohibited in the way forex is being done.

If I have received any gift I haven’t used it throughout the whole year then I have to pay khums on it?

Yes you need to pay khums if it's not used.

Is it obligatory upon me to give khums? I am a student, I have some savings. On the other hand I’m earning income through giving tutions so should I pay khums?

Khums is on saving at the end of the year so if anything is left on your khums date, you have to give 20% otherwise no. Example if you pay your educational expenses even a day before your khums date and nothing is left as saving no khums.

I am finding hard to forgive people who do wrong to me. Please guide me.

Do a lot of Astagfar and think of improper action done by yourself, if any and think if Allah does not excuse you then what will happen. So to get Allah's pardon for your self pardon others.

Does the soul have a gender?

Soul adopts the gender qualities once entered a body.

I am a single parent. Husband expired years back. I have children studying in school. My monthly salary is (removed). There is no saving. My brother helps me monthly. Is khums wajib on my salary or on my saving?

If there is any saving at the end of the year it will be wajib otherwise no...

I am asking on behalf of a friend who – while being a Muslim – for many years strayed from the path and didnt fulfil his religious obligations whether prayers or fasts. Only recently has he come back to practicing the faith, and has been working hard on making up for his past and genuinely reforming himself. However, one thing he is feeling hopeless about is making up missed fasts. He has calculated all his intentionally missed fasts for the month of Ramadan, and has come up with a personal number of having to either make up 8400 fasts as kaffarah (breaking a fast means fast 60 days) or feed 8400 poor Shia (60 people for each broken/missed fast). What should he do in this circumstance?

First he should make a will and then discuss with an aalim about the reaaons of leaving a fast. If the outcome is that they were left in a condition which make kaffara wajib he may start giving food to needy mominee slowly as per his capacity and start keeping the qaza fast.
Allah all kindness and all mercy.
Be sure He will not leave him just like that.

If I break my Salah do I have to do an extra takbir to cancel my first takbir ehram.

No need.

I’m planning on starting a personal training business which will operate on a cash basis. I receive part A from Centrelink for my 4 kids ($179 a fortnight). Do I religiously need to advise Centrelink with my cash income I’m going to make?

No need.

I was on Khorasani’s English website, and it says that Namaz e Istighaasa should be performed for Hazrat e Zahra (as). Isn’t that worshipping a human and isn’t that considered shirk – or is there a problem with the translation.

All what we are doing in the form of ibadat is only for Allah s.w.t. When we ask for help from Masumeen a.s. it does not mean that they do these things for us by themselves, rather its the power blessed on them to perform these actions or we pray to Allah through their tawasul as Allah s.w.t. blesses those prayers which have tawasul of Ahl e Bait a.s

Are we allowed to throw left over food in organic bin including the bread that we might not want to eat, or when food gets old?

If not, then how can we use the food we might not want to eat and save it from getting wasted?

Yes it can be thrown if you are sure you can't utilise it in any proper way.

Wanted to ask if it permissible for me to consume haribos which contain gelatine.

It is permissible to eat if the doubt is whether it has been extracted from an animal or vegetable. But, if it is known that it was derived from an animal, then it is not permissible to eat without ascertaining that the animal was slaughtered according to Sharí‘a. This prohibition applies, as a matter of obligatory precaution, even if it was extracted from animal bones.
Of course, if a chemical change occurs (Istihala) in the original ingredients during the process of manufacturing the gelatin, there is no problem at all in eating it.

Agar ladki k inlaws ladki k favor me ho, ladka is baat pe ho ki wo talaaq le kr rahega to kya ladka forcefully talaaq le skta? Ladki talaaq nhi lena chahti.

Yes he can divorce if he wants.

My question is regarding the authenticity of naad e Ali. I’ve been reciting naad e Ali my entire life but recently I came to know that the chain of narration is not authentic. Can u provide a reference? If there is no chain of narration, can reciting naad e ali be considered as shirk? How do I explain it to my non shia friends?

If the chain is considered by someone as weak or broken or unauthentic the wordings itself are so beautiful that to deny it due to any narration doubt is impossible just like dua e Sabah. Secondly asking help of Amir ul momineen a.s.is in itself as asking Allah s.w.t. as he is among the most humble Servants of Allah s.w.t.
Thirdly it is narrated that Holy Prophet s.a.w.w. had uttered these wordings during the battle of Khyber.

What is the meaning of Faraj and Ma’ad.

Faraj means relief and maad the day of judgement. Actually it means return.

It's along discussion between wahabis and muslims what has to be done and what not. Prophet didn't sit in aircraft, didn't pray in train, didn't use tap or shower water for wuzu. Long list, hajj travelling by ship. So let's do our cultural things in our way and yes don't enter anything in ibadat which is very specific in nature.

3) Is the black khol an obstacle for wouzou?

1) Females can if there is no na mehram around.
2) Yes it may be done.
3) Any natural obstacle is not considered an obstacle.

I just have a question about online trading, whether its halal or haram.
So it’s online trading forex, where we buy and sell foreign currencies in order to make a profit. Sometimes we can make loss as well depending on marketing. Just wanted to know whether the money earned will be halal or no?

Online or physical tradings are allowed even for currencies. Only gold and silver or non permissible items are not allowed. Jazakallah.

My question is regarding Salah with more than 2 rakats, after tashahud in the 2nd salat, do I say Allahuakbar and then bihawlillahi or I say bihawlillahi and get up without saying allahuakbar first?

Without saying Allah Akbar say bihawlillah

Meine suna hai ke naseeb insan apna khudh likhta hai? Meri ek larke se mangni hui thi. Mera dil nahi maanta tha to meine nahi ki. Wo larka acha tha per meri nahi banti thi usse. Mere baba mama kehte hai ke meine apna naseeb kharab kardiya hai. Ab koi waisa nahi acha mauka milega. Mujhe dar lagta hai ye soch ke maula ab mujhe ek aur mauka nahi deinge?

Pray to Allah with wasela of Ahl e bait a.s. and see how HE helps you inshallah.

Meine suna hai k naseeb insan apna khudh likhta hai?

Yeh such hai ke Allah be hamen akhtiyar diya hai ke ham apni zindagi ke kamon main khud faisla karen. Iska matlab yeh nahin hai ke agar koi faisla ghalat le liya zahir hai Insan ko ilm e ghaib nahin hai lehaza Allah per bharosa karen inshallah woh madad karega.

Is it haraam to have a bank account because in this we also have the share of interest money so what does Islam says about this. If a person has an account but only uses the money which was earned by him. When he gets the interest money from the bank he gives it to poor. Is this right?

It is allowed to operate bank accounts and if any extra amount is deposited in ur account it can be used but we cant ask for extra amount.

I am wondering specifically if the imam (leader of jammat) leads zuhr and asr in jammat, is it okay for him to then lead fajr in jammat (if he himself and those in jammat have also missed fajr prayer).

Basically is it okay for the Imam to lead jammat prayer for fajr at zuhr/asr time and is it the same reward as a normal jammat prayer?

Yes.

Why is it that you keep praying for a specific thing but you never get it be it a job or any such thing? Why is it that despite Allah knowing how desperately you need something, you never get it and end up feeling like he’s simply not answering? At times you try everything you can; pray 5 times, try avoiding all the bad deeds, try your best but still there’s no answer? Moreover, you don’t see how that specific thing can be bad for you in any way that Allah won’t grant you your wish.

Actually Allah decides what's good and bad for us and when we pray, if that is not good for us in long run (end result), he blesses us with an alternate that is surely useful for us. We may not be able to realise at that time.
Secondly , if we stop praying (dua) to Allah s.w.t, we may fall down from our present state ( which may be much better then falling down from that level). Please continue praying. One day you shall realise you have benefited from your duas inshAllah

My question is regarding the unecessary attachments. How does one stop expecting and being attached to people be it a family member or a friend? As happiest is the person who only attaches himself/herself to the Almighty and only expects from Him. But at times, one (unwillingly) gets attached to a person. How to avoid that and stop expecting from someone?

One can do this only by attaching to Allah or His messenger or Imams (as). The way out is to recite tasbeeh with full concentration at a secluded place and talking to Allah s.w.t in person and by trying to attain more concentration in namaz. Also in free time try to see the creation of Allah on internet or TV, through hubble telescope or animal planet etc. This will increase your attachment with Allah s.w.t and come out of worldly attachments InshAllah

We set our Khums date as the 15th of August. So do we have to start counting all the income we have left over from maghrib time on the 14th or do we start counting what we have left from 00.01am on 15th August?
It’s just that we wanted to buy a wardrobe today (14th August) before maghrib but now it’s maghrib already so we were just wondering that the money we use to buy the wardrobe after maghrib, is Khums wajib on that money?

It's upon you what date and time you finalise, shariat accepts it

Do you by any chance know where the ‘real’ Qur’aan is? Of course the whole Qur’aan is real, but the one which was in the era of Prophet (s) ?

If someone has a child and wants to perform Amaal Umm Dawood, due to the child’s needs and playing, can the person recite surahs at night

It may be done but its better to start from morning. That's more preferable

Please let me know why the gold and silk are haram for men in Islam. (please help me with all the scientific and logical facts as I need to answer this to a non Muslim)

We in Islamic sciences don't go after scientific reasoning as science is in its initial stage. In my special words science is a baby of 200 to 300 years only and has to go much ahead to reach a position where they may not retract what they have proved before as many scientifically proved things were later retracted in medical field. I can quote ten things. So we need to wait for our 12th Imam (as) to come and guide us

What’s the difference between Farz and wajib? Could you please explain this to me with some examples, like what are the deeds that are farz and what are wajib?

In mazhab e jafariah both are same

I was wondering if it was problematic to believe that the Prophet had other daughters besides Fatima. I had learned as a Sunni that the prophet had other daughters besides Fatima, and I have recently learned that there is no evidence for it. Does believing the Prophet had other daughters make Fatima have less virtues?

Although her infalibality and virtues doesn't become less but facts are to be known that she was the only daughter of Holy Prophet s.a.w.w.

My question is should we view the tragedy of Karbala moreso as a praise of the Ahlul Bayt or should we view it in terms of its broader messages (such as justice and imaan and oppression) without so much focus on the Ahlul Bayt? My understanding of Karbala was not with a focus on the ahlul bayt, but of the universal ideas of divine justice and truth.

It depends upon a person how he feels like observing Karbala in light of teachings of Ahl e Bait a.s.

I want to know a quranic amaal, for both of my boys, ages 3 and 5.
Both of them have severe behavioral issues. The older one has autism and is five years, but doesn’t speak anything and doesn’t understand complex language also.
The younger one is 3 years, has sensory processing disorder, and has severe severe tantrums to the point of hysteria and it becomes extremely difficult for me to control them.
Please tell me some quranic amaal or some surah which I can write and put it as taweez around their necks.

I'm sure you must be doing a lot of aamal and duas. I request you to kindly pay full attention to physician's recomendations as dua and medication go together.

Please tell me a very effective amal or dua or quranic surah to recite so that my sister receives a good proposal for marriage.

Allama Ravandi in his book Daawat has reported that Imam Zayn al-Abideen (a.s.) once passed by a man who was sitting on someone’s doorstep. Imam (a.s.) asked that man why he was sitting on the doorstep of a wicked person. He said because of the hardships that had overcome me. Imam (a.s.) said to him, “Rise up. Let me guide you to a door better than his and to the Lord Who is better for you than him. Then the holy Imam (a.s.) took his hand and brought him to the mosque of the Prophet (S) and said to him: “Face the Qiblah and offer a two unit Salah. Praise Allah and send Salawat on the Holy Prophet (S). Then read the last verse of surah Hashir, the first six verses of surah Hadid and the two verses that are in surah Aal-Imran. Then ask Allah your needs. Surely Allah will grant you.”
Allama Ravandi says: Perhaps the two verses (of Surah Aal Imara) are: quli l-lahumma mālika l-mul'k till bighayri ḥisāb (26-27).
Allama Majlesi (quddisa sirruh) said: Perhaps the verse quli l-lahuma (26) with the verse Shahid Allahu (18) is meant.
Know that it has been narrated from Amirul Momineen (a.s.) that he said: “Whenever anyone of you had a wish, he should go out on Thursday morning to fulfill it. And before leaving his home, he should recite: The last verse of surah Aal Imran, Ayat al-Kursi, surah Qadr and surah Fateha, because in these (verses) are the fulfillment of wishes of this world and the Hereafter.

Mere kuch sawal hai agar aap inke jawab de sake toa badi meherbani hogi.

1. Ye hai ki kya aurton ko baith ke hi nahana chahiye aur especially ghusl lete waqt bhi she should sit and do the needful

2. Sawal ki haiz ke dino mei, sirf odd din mei hi nahaya ja sakta hai 3rd day 5th day ko hi agar 4th ya 6th day pe koi naha le toa koi problem ho sakti hai, Imean physically

3. Ki kya aurton ko nazr niyaz dete waqt bhi baith ke hi fateha deni chahiye

Ye sab ham isliye pooch rahe hai ki hamare ghar ke buzurgon ne aisa bachpan se sikhaya hai par hamare shauhar kehte hai aisa kuch nahi hota. Please clarify

None of them have any religious basis.

Someone asked me (about Karbala) if Allah had decided Karbala and Prophet Mohammad told each and everything, then what’s the Hazrat yazid fault?

It's a discussion of qaza and qadr and not suitable to discuss in messages. In ust one sentence, in this way qayamat and jannat and jahanum all will turn out to be useless and thus the basis of Islam will become zero. Presence of day of judgement proves that we all have some power and authority to decide.

I want to know if its appropriate to do a research job which involves study of toxic chemicals on Animals? Khums is on savings at the end of the year. So if anything is left on your khums date, you have to give 20% otherwise no. Example if u pay your educational expenses even a day before your khums date and nothing is left as savings, no khums.

I would like to know whether dealing with Cryptocurrencies is halal. I used to believe that it was halal, and therefore I have bought and invested into a particular cryptocurrency called Vechain (https://www.vechain.org/). Since I already own Vechain, I need to know whether it is halal or not, and if it is not halal, then what action do I need to take from there?

With a view to develop khushu and khuzu in prayers, I have experimented and observed that while most of the methods did not yield constant results, doing continuous zikr in heart like "Al Ajal Ya Imam", "Ya Allah", "Allahu" and still reciting complete namaz without losing the continuity of prayers is very useful in attaining presence of heart and party.

Is such an act allowed in prayers, where one thinks (deep in the heart) about Allah s.w.t and His Masoomeen in various forms of Taqwa and ibadat in addition to chanting names of Allah s.w.t?

If no word is whispered and names are masumeen are taken in the form of dua its allowed.

Is it also ok if we keep asking for His forgiveness in form of various statements (in our own language) taken from dua e tawbah of Imam Sajjad a.s?

Non arabic words should not be whispered or spoken out. In heart it is ok.

I know the Prophet {s.a.w.a} wore a red carnelian ring and he told Imam Ali {a.s} and his followers to do likewise. So I receive as a gift this beautiful akik ring from Turkey with Ahlul Bayt {a.s} names around the whole ring and on the agate is inscribed "Alhamdulillah – La Illa Ha Illa La – "Astaghfirullah" but here is my question. I took it to a jeweler who told me the stone was agate but not carnelian and now my concern is that it will not have the same protective effect as the natural stone will have. Can you please give me advice and address this concern so that I may either find mental peace or buy a genuine ring instead. I love the ring by the way, it is very beautiful and the agate is a dark brown color

Use this nice ring and also get an aqeeq ring as well. Carnelian stone is not an alternate to aqeeq.

It has no base. Yeh purely wehm hai. Even then you may give sadqa when that happens, to avoid any superstition.

In the last year of my bachelor’s degree, there was some issue at my home due to which I went into the phase of severe depression and as a result of that I became ill. My brain was just burning inside out and the rest of the body was very hot. I consulted the doctors and they suggested me to go for outing. I did that and the burning of the head stopped. But I knew that it wasn’t the proper solution to my problem. I wasn’t able to perform my Zikr o Ibadat because I wasn’t getting happiness and satisfaction from that. While performing tahajjud (Namaz e Shab) I got scared every time. So I left offering my tahajjud. But my health was good. Now after 6 months the same burning of head and lot of pressure on brain started again. I went to a spirtual doctor, syed baba who was shia, for finding the solution to my problem. He said that I have an evil eye of a Jinn. He gave me some taweez. But stil I have some burning and pressure on my head. Also I was wearing a Feroza on my right hand but unfortunately I lost that ring somewhere. My mother told me that as I have lost my Feroza and now I am not wearing it so that’s why this pressure and burning of head is occuring. Can you please tell me that what’s wrong with me and what should I do now?
Can you please evaluate to tell me that is there any effect of an evil eye of a Jinn?
Please tell me some methods to get rid of this illness.

Allah s.w.t. has kept shifa to all such things in different ways. One of them is consultation with a Psychologist or Psychatrist. I have been able to get many people, male and female, out of such problems through them along with some duas and zikr. I feel it will be appropriate to consult them and meanwhile I shall try to find out an appropriate zikr for you.
I feel there is no such bad eye or shaitan or jinn in this case and yes if you find feroza wear it, but it's not that you have lost so now all these things are coming on you.
Shall also pray for you to come back to normal or rather better position.

I have a question regarding the creation of the universe. The quran says that it was created in 7 days (to my knowledge) but is this ayah literal or metaphorical? And do we believe in the big bang theory or not? I’m just curious because I see ayahs talking about an inital expansion but I’m not sure if this is in reference to the big bang or not.

Bing bang is a theory neither accepted nor rejected till now. 7 days is a symbolic, not actual, as a day is calculated by the movement of sun and at that time sun was in the process of creation.

Bohot log is baat main ikhtalaf kartay hain k agar Imam Hussain (as) k sar ne nok e neiza talawat e quran ki thi to log is moujzay se qail kiyun ni huaye thay?

Remember people have never accepted faith after watching or observing mojeza.

I work for a big group of companies and handle the purchases for it.
1) A lot of times suppliers offer gifts as cash in return of favour for hiring them as suppliers, is this cash halal?
2) Extension to this question is if I can open an external company and consider it as supplier company and then supply goods to my own company where I work and take salary from and earn the extra money by taking lower rates from suppliers and offering on slightly higher rates to my company.

1) If one doesn't ask and he receives such gifts it is allowed.
2) If this is allowed in company laws or the law is silent then it can be done otherwise one can ask someone else to do so not himself.

If I ask someone else to do it, can I take a share from it? This will be done from an external company where there will be work done to find lowest fares for the company where the company will also benefit out of it. So to sum it up, can one take share from the amount that someone else will take? Very important point is that the other person is also from the same company but different department.

Yes it can be done

Can I do ghusl on my body when it is wet already? Or can i apply shampoo on my head and then do niyat of ghusl and perform it?

Yes you can

On a rainy day a dog was walking on the wet road and I was walking on that road. I think my sole of the slipper got najis as per the law of transferring of najasat. Plus, on another rainy day, I even stepped on poop of goat. So my slippers became najis. Now my question is that, can the sole become paak by something like walking on road and taking 40 steps or something? Please guide me with more info if answer is yes

Mutahhirat » 2. Earth

Ruling 177. Earth purifies the sole of one’s foot or shoe on four conditions:

1. the earth is pure;
2. the earth is dry;
3. based on obligatory precaution, the impurity has come onto the sole of one’s foot or shoe from the earth;
4. an intrinsic impurity – such as blood and urine – or an object that has become impure – such as mud that has become impure and is on the sole of one’s foot or shoe – is removed by walking or by rubbing the foot on earth; and in the event that the intrinsic impurity had previously been removed, then based on obligatory precaution the sole of one’s foot or shoe does not become pure by walking or by rubbing the foot on earth. Furthermore, the earth must be of soil, stone, brick, or something similar; therefore, walking on a rug, ḥaṣīr, and on grass does not purify the impure sole of one’s foot or shoe.

Ruling 178. To consider the impure sole of one’s foot or shoe as having become pure after walking on asphalt and ground paved with wood is problematic [i.e. based on obligatory precaution, it must not be considered as having become pure].

Ruling 179. In order to purify the sole of one’s foot or shoe, it is better to walk a distance of fifteen cubits (dhirāʿs)(1) or more, even if the impurity is removed by walking less than fifteen cubits or by rubbing the sole of one’s foot or shoe on earth.

Ruling 180. It is not necessary for the impure sole of one’s foot or shoe to be wet; rather, even if it is dry it becomes pure by walking.

Our Khums date used to be the 11th of Dhul Qadah but then because the Islamic dates kept changing around we decided to follow the Gregorian calendar and set our Khums date as the 15th of August.

Its upon you what date and time you finalise, shariat accepts it.

Can I gift Quran by reciting to Shahida ne Karbala?

Mera sawal hai ke kiya 1 larki dosari larki ka bosa la sakti hai. Kiya ess mai gunah hai?

If it's just for respect and love its allowed, but if there is any chance of lust or such things then it is haram.

Please tell me a very effective Amal or dua or quranic surah to recite so that my sister receives a good proposal for marriage.

Please find the translation:

I hope this question finds you well and if you need any more information please let me know.

Till this day they are not allowed you have bought you manage them. Inshallah soon it will be allowed.

Am I allowed to sell them off for Australian Dollars?

Yes you can sell them as its your property.

I know the Prophet {s.a.w.a} wore a red carnelian ring and he told Imam Ali {a.s} and his followers to do likewise. So I receive as a gift this beautiful akik ring from Turkey with Ahlul Bayt {a.s} names around the whole ring and on the agate is inscribed "Alhamdulillah – La Illa Ha Illa La – "Astaghfirullah". But here is my question. I took it to a jeweler who told me the stone was agate but not carnelian and now my concern is that it will not have the same protective effect as the natural stone will have. Can you please give me advice and address this concern so that I may either find mental peace or buy a genuine ring instead.

Use this nice ring and also get an aqee ring as well. Carnelian stone is not an alternate to aqeeq.

I have seen in different shia groups on social media people are supporting and promoting the presence of the father at the time of childbirth for supporting their wives. is it permissible or even ehtical to directly see the child coming out?

It is allowed although never seen any recomendations from masumeen a.s.

I really need help. I’m not able to be concentrate on anything, especially prayers. I always have negative thoughts about everything, even when I’m praying. And I don’t only think negative, my thinking is actually bad. I believe in Allah (swt) and I know that He will always answer my prayers when I truthfully ask Him, but I’m not even able to ask Him to help me. I feel that I’m lazy to even ask Him anything. My exams are approaching and I know that I’m not making enough Doua. When I pray, my mind is always somewhere else.

I don’t know how be concentrate when doing anything, and how to remove all those negative thoughts from my mind.

I would suggest u to start zikr, maybe any which you feel its easier and increase the number slowly, specially a few minutes before namaz. Inshallah it will help you.
Secondly find some mind exercises for concentration.

I wanted to ask you what do you mean exactly by "zikr"

To remember Allah in the specific way explained by Allah or His Prophet or Imam a.s. Like SUBHANALLAH, ALHAMDULILLAH, ALLAH AKBAR..........
etc.
