My father in law suffers from cancer stage 4 and has done all treatments to cure it but nothing worked it was just more of pain to him. He is now in hospital under palliative care. Now we are waiting for him to return to Allah. My father passed away so I looked at him as my support . Now me and my husband and family are dishearten and we don't know how to ease ourselves.
Please guide us how to console in this situation.

I can understand that I saw my father in his last days on a ventilator and could not even communicate with him. It was very painful but after he left this is what I trained my self :
If my father left, the original care taker lives who was the creator of my father and blessed me with him will make others who could give me fatherly care and passion. So He swt was always there for me taking care of me. Thereforemake your connections with Allah swt and such will indeed.
So sorry to hear what kind pain you are going through. Allah swt is always there try reaching out to Him.

I would like to have the following clarifications with regards to it's permissibility in the Islamic context
1) Is it permissible to invest in cryptocurrencies?
2) Can we invest in government bonds/trust funds in a Muslim or non Muslim country?
3) Can we invest in Fixed deposits or obtain loans from non Muslim banks?
4) Can we invest in venture capital schemes, whereby we invest in halaal businesses and then sell of our investment at a higher price at a later date?

I have followed up with regards to bitcoins and other crypto currency, some responses are sayings is permissible while other replies are not permissible. I would like to have further clarification

It all depends on two things
- Is it real or just a symbolic coin.
- Is it business or gambling
- Is it associated with RIBA or usury or not.
Scholars are given different answers to the above questions so the respond varies.

Agar ek aisi mayyat ho jiske aaza e wuzu hi na rahe ho aur paani ka istimaal mumkin na ho to kya karna chahiye?

When children are born they get gifts in terms of cash. Can the parents use that money on the childs expense or in paying rent or other household issues? Also does the child need to be told when he matures? What if he demands the payment?

No need how ever if the guardian uses it for the benefit of the child then he should repay extra as a gift which will be considered a financial benefit for the child

I understand that in Islam we are highly encouraged to be in the company of good righteous Muslims, but unfortunately my community is very small and I have a very difficult time finding friends who are practicing righteous Muslims. I honestly find my non-muslims friends to be more righteous and a better influence on me than the Muslims are. What should I do?

As long as there is no influence on the moral and the faith there is no problem, but many of our youth they get affected by their immoral friends and start doing immoral and unlawful activities such as forbidden relations and start doubting in their Islam due to their weakness. So examine your self before getting indulged with such friendships that might cause you to lose your faith and Islamic moral values.

What do you think about naseeb? In regards to marriage this means someone that is destined for you to marry. Some people say this is an incorrect phenomenon and others say it is definitely true.

There is both, we have to try our best to choose whichever is best not blindly get married to anyone without proper investigation due to the large rate of deception in the marriages nowadays. After that, if unexpected things start to pop in the marriage life, then one must be thankful on the positive things and be patient on the negative things and tolerate as much as possible, hence, that is when someone finds out that it was destined and naseeb, either positive or negative. Because these unexpected things are unknown to the couples, that is why they call it naseeb fate or destined.

So which is worse? Masturbation or opposite sex friendship

Opposite sex flirting

I am not looking for a relationship, I have female friends, but I dont masturbate because i know that it is a bad sin. I just want to know if having friends of the opposite sex is worse than masturbation

If having friends of opposite sex leads to any forbidden activity, from flirting, having animated communication to masturbation, then having such friends is forbidden. If not then its better to avoid such types of opposite sex friendship relations.

I had heard from a religious scholar that in our sect laylatul qadr can only be amongst 19th, 21st and 23rd night of Ramadan. Is that true? Or should we expect laylatul qadr on the night of 25th, 27th or 29th Ramadan too?

Dua of 27 ramadhan is the only dua mentions laylatul qadr
So it is good that a person takes the opportunity and do some amaal.

Last 5 odd nights are the probabilities and the highest is 23. However it moves every year on one of these it is not fixed in one night there is no authentic narration indicating that it is fixed on 23

What if it's at home?

Sure if there is no foreign man or non mahram then it is allowed.

In Sahifa Mahdi there's a dua which should be done on Thursday night 595 times Ya Hujjatul Qaim, and it mentions that we should uncover our head and feet under the sky. Does this go for women as well?

Women cannot disclose their hijab in public if such is done in public.

In normal days I apply makeup however there was a ghusl for hayd due for me which I took as usual. After the ghusl when I wiped the eye I felt slight a sign of concealer or foundation that I must have applied. Is that a barrier and makes ghusl void? Also the day I took ghusl I did not apply any makeup or something on the face.

If the substance prevents the water from reaching the skin the the wodhu or the Ghusl is deemed invalid. And the Salaat offered after such Ghusl must be repeated.

If I buy meat from a store (halal) and wash it but see the blood coming out constantly. I try my best to keep the meat under running water but it makes the mince meat (keema) too mushy so that im unable to make patties out of it. If i don't run it under water and cook it it gives off pink colored liquid (blood?) . Is this common ? Is the final
Product the cooked piece of meat halal or has it become najid?

If the blood gushes out from the slaughtered animal in its average quantities during slaughtering then the remaining blood in the flesh of the slaughtered animal is considered pure. After washing the surface of the meet externally then the blood being discharged from inside the flesh should be from the remaining blood in the flesh after the average amount of blood from the slaughtered animal is gushed out.

Does this mean he had sexual thoughts and thats why he had the wet dream?

No it means that his body has reached the age where sexual hormones are being released and such triggered such discharge. Many of those who have first time wet dream they don’t have any clue what happened

I saw dark spot on his light colored shorts and it smelled like semen and it was slippery. My son was sleeping and when he woke up I saw it. Is this what you mean as ejaculation? Or is this different from ejaculation because he did not have sexual thought or action before it?

Ejaculation by wet dream. The kids are normally shy in front of their parents, so if you want me or someone else trustworthy to talk to him, the please let me know.
What you observed may be wet dream seamen ejaculation, and most of the middle eastern ethnic male they become baligh between 12 and 13.

My son is 12 1/2 islamically and 12 and 2 months according to Julian calendar. He had some discharge. I dont think he had sexual feelings or thoughts and had ejaculation. Does this mean he is baligh and fasting, prayer and ghusl are waijib on him?

What are the signs and ruling on buloogh because i dont see it in the laws book of Sistani?

One of the following three things
Growth of pubic hair
Ejeculation of the seamen
Completing 15 full lunar years.
If none of the above the boy is not balig.
Even though such discharge starts to appear it is better to train him of the precautionary measures such as Ghusl and Salaat if possible.

Hame night fall hone mey sperm nikalta hai gis ki wajhe se gusal e janabat wajib ho jata hai or kapde na paak ho jate hai .
Night fall ke time par hamari ek dam akh khul jaye or hum foran toilet me chale jaye hamara sperm toilet mey nikle phir hum toilet karke taharat le le to kia hum par gusal e janabat wajib hai or hamere kapde na paak hai jo humne taharat lene ke baad phene?

Yes whenever the sperm comes out one must perform Ghusl Janaba and if the cloth was touched by the sperm then the sperm needs to be washed away from the cloth

If a husband and wife do not have sexual relations for over 4 years due to health reasons will this invalidate the nikah or effect anything?

No it does not invalidate the marriage. This a strange belief not found in the school of Ahlul Bayt as

My parents do not wish for me to study any professional degree (engineering or business) since they don’t want me to work in any private firms. The only fields I am open to are medicine or to work as a teacher. They say that living with them I cannot work anywhere except the option given to me but once i am married then i can do as my " husband" wants.
I do understand that working in a non-muslim country especially for women is difficult but living in (removed) which specially caters to Islamic moral codes I dont understand the problem my parents see. And if there is something wrong according to the islamic laws then how does it become fine once I’m married.
I dont want to fight with my parents butI see no way out of this.
Is it Islamically wrong for a woman to be career oriented? How can i convince them to let me study what i want?

My beloved daughter there has been so many cases of women being abused indecently until cases of rape in UAE and Qatar by the bosses of the private firms and businesses. Some by black mailing the girls other by giving them something in their drinks and so on. Horrifying cases. And since many of them get away easily without any proof and even if the girl complains she and her family get deported. So please be careful in whatever you choose. I think your father is not telling you the true reasons. Many foreign girls are oppressed and the law cannot do much. So of the low income families daughters are also given money to support their family and forced to do wrong and many of them do not have any choice except to accept.
Sorry for these bitter facts I know this because many share their pain to me.

I thought that taraweeh were performed by the holy prophet sawas but only in individuals ? I heard that we were supposed to do them but by ourselves in our home. Correct me if I’m wrong

No my beloved you are mistaken.
There are many recommended Salaat in the Shia school narrated by our beloved Imam AS offered individually and not in congregation. However the way our Sunni brothers pray we do not have. If we had I would’ve mentioned it to you

I would like to know if I am allowed to do the tarawih in groups in mosque (so with sunni people) since i do not speak arabic and it is really hard for me to do then.
I know how to write and read arabic but very badly and I do not even know how to perform tarawih by myself.

Taraweeh is a forbidden bida. It was not practiced in the time of the prophet. It was innovated by the second caliph as mentioned by the Sunni historians. We respect our brothers in Islam but we do not support the legislation of taraweeh

What is the 'nafs?' In general? Is the nafs (the thing comprised of intellect, desires, passions and creativity) the soul or does the soul drive the nafs? (Can you please elaborate on this point? The general definitions are too vague)

When Imam Ali is referred to as anfusana, what is the extent of similarity in essence to his relationship to the Prophet?

How does this relate to the idea of wilayah, which according to Shaheed Mutahhari means that two things become so close that they are indistinguishable?

NAFS (lust and desires or animal inside us), ROOH (spirit the pure power of intellect or an angel inside us), when NAFS becomes under total control of the AQL (ROOH) , then it becomes like one thing, because then NAFS does not do any thing which goes against the AQL. So when the angel takes control of the animal then they both become cohered, as one distinguishable.

To contextualize my question, I'm going to tell you what I'm not asking: Im not asking for proof of Ismah as a doctrine, but rather why Prophets have been given ismah in the context of predestination and free will. Moreover, I am not asking for proof of free will either.

My question is in multiple parts and I've done my best to break it down into yes/no type questions. okay, Bismillah.

Were Prophets chosen from the start or were they chosen conditional to whether someone in a society was capable of accepting Prophethood (by their own merit)?

If the former, then can't the objection be brought up that those prophets were essentially predestined heaven (and therefore making Allah unjust in some way)?

If the latter, then is it possible for ordinary people to reach the level of prophets?

If this is not possible and if what makes prophets better than ordinary humans the fact that Allah has granted them wahy and knowledge, then is it fair ask why ordinary people don't also receive that same treatment as mentioned by 12:24 which would thereby guarantee them heaven and protection from sin?

If the granting of wahy and knowledge is conditional upon someone having intelligence and purity, then is it a reasonable objection to say that intelligence is not a controllable factor?

If intelligence is not a controllable thing, then can the same objection be brought up that most intelligent people who are granted prophethood are guaranteed heaven (thus making Allah unjust again) because their uncontrollable faculty of reasoning was why they were granted wahy which prevents them from sin? (That is, someone's uncontrollable circumstances has led them to have a higher capacity, and therefore they have a greater opportunity to reach a higher level of heaven than ordinary people)

The Prophets are chosen based on the merits and their characteristics which Allah swt is aware of, so He swt knows in advance the characteristics thus chooses based on such. And since Allah swt has the knowledge of the future, so He swt chooses them to be Prophets AS before even their creation. Decision of Allah swt and His will does not bound to time, however, the execution of the decision is time bounded, like Mohammad SAWW was prophet SAWW in the will of Allah swt always, He swt chose to send him SAWW when he was born in this world.
The Prophets AS have choice to do good or bad, they are tested on their capacities, thus Almighty swt sets a proof and reason for the creation for his choice, their tests are on higher levels, such as if you would have done what Prophet Yunus AS had done , you would not have ended in the belly of the whale, it is Yunus AS who was tested in such instance and did not pass, though he was infallible from sins, he did not commit a sin per se, but his error was serious and it required him to get into isolation and training so such does not repeat.

Is trading in currencies halal -Forex trading

As long as it does not involve any type of usury or forbidden loan interest there is no problem in such by itself.

If your in laws made you marry their son on some lies and made end number of promises because of which you agreed to get married in the first place . In detail suppose you told them that you want to continue your further studies first then would want to get married but they promised you they will never waste your time and will make you do your studies infact they tell you that is the reason they want you to get married so they can make you study and post marriage they tell you on the face that was a lie and they got you married so can work for them and many things like these .
What should we do ?

You cannot break this marriage just for that.
They committed a great sin by lying. You are not obligated to work for them. You can continue your studies

How can we help Shk.Ibrahim ZakZaki of Nigeria?

Do Dua
Let the world know that he is innocent
And participate in peacefully rallies

I want to do mutah, with conditions, with someone, to get to know him.
My dad and grand father passed away.

I heard that I dont need permission from anybody. It still be a halal relation.
But I also heard that I need permission from my guardian.

What is the fiqh law please?

One should refrain from Mutaa and get involved in a permanent marriage and it is strongly adviced in such as your case to not let the guard down because there are many out there they will misuse the woman and abuse her in the name of the Muta. So please be careful.

I have a question concerning gusl.

We can do ONE gusl for many niyyat right?

So, If someone have to make two wajib gusl, and , after finishing his ghusl, he is not sure if he made the niyyat of the second gusl.
For example, I do one gusl for gusl hayz and janabat,
But after my gusl, I dont remember if I said the niyyat for jannabat.

So , my question is, when we do gusl, and we forget to say the niyyat, but , we are aware that we are making this gusl,
The ghusl still correct?

The Ghusl is correct inshAllah. If there was an awareness in the heart that she was doing a wajib Ghusl and there was a cause which made it obligatory upon him.

But, if it's an illness, what is the fiqh law about this kind of situation?

I heard that I have to keep a bottle of water near me during my salat, and when I pass gas, I just have to do wouzou and continue my namaz.

Is it true please?

If there was an illness of continuous passing gas without an intermission of pause that allows a person to do wodhu and pray, then one can do the wodhu and pray and ignore any gases passed during the Salaat.

However, if a person have some intermittent time or a pause in which the gases stop and that pause was enough to do wodhu and pray limiting on the wajibaat then one must choose that time to pray as long as that pause is not out of the time range of the Salaat.

Does doubting about passing gas during namaz makes it baatil? Because I have been this issue of doubt for few years and I always redo my namaz about 5 times.

I dont know if I really have a ilness or its just shaytan that disturb me.
I already did a treatment and take medicine but its the same problem

I know the importance of salat and I am always trying to pray at time but this problem just make me really sad because I am really scared if its the fact that Allah (swt) don’t want to listen my voice? I dont know what to do.
I still making many duas, isteghfar and seek help from the Ahlul Bayt(as) ..

Shaytan always tries to mess up with those who have love of Allah swt in their heart. So please ignore the doubts totally and act upon the certainty. Therefore if you are not sure that your wodhu broke or not you can carry on your worship and say no nothing came out. Even if you feel some kind of movement or feeling of wind in the passing of the wind area. Because many times due to the area being sensitive many have complained certain sensation or hair movements or feeling of leaking wind and so on. All such must be ignored.

One thing that I want to ask now is : When husband and wife ask the doctor for the opearation, how he can be responsible. I feel they should be responsible. The question is then who is the first heir or second heir who should receive the money.

If they both were responsible, then they both share the Diyah money and if the killed child has siblings and grandparents, then the diyah should be given to them according to their share in the inhertince if they are alive.

Kindly refer to the link sent in previous question. I think your answer to my question is not relevant. The question relates to abortion.
https://www.sistani.org/english/qa/search/2881257

Miscarriage is different than the abortion in the Islamic frame of reference in killing a child. The one who causes such killing must give diyah to the heir of the killed child. If the husband was the cause then he should and if the wife was then she should and if both were, then they both should give the diyah money to the heirs.
The ruling you referred does not differ from what I said. In case the mother aborts the child, she must give the blood money (Diyyah) to the father or other heirs. And if the father carries out the abortion, the blood money (Diyyah) is obligatory on him and he must give it to the mother. If it is the doctor who carries out the abortion, it is obligatory on him to give the blood money although he may abort the child on the parents’ request, (though they would share in the sin). He must give the blood money except for when the heirs exempt him.
It would suffice for the blood money of the fetus into which soul has entered to give 525 mithqals of silver. That is when the fetus is male and if it is female, half of that amount should be paid. As a measure of obligatory precaution, the Diyyah of the fetus which dies in the womb is also the same.

Agha Sistani's site shows whom to give Diyah money.

The link to the site is given hereunder:
https://www.sistani.org/english/qa/search/2881257/

Please guide how to proceed

The Diya money is given to the first degree of the heir, all those who were not involved in the killing, those who were involved in the killing will give to the first degree heirs if available, if not to the second-degree heir and so on.

I know what the number 313 means and a number of scholars claim that if you see it often it is a sign that you may be one of those within the number when Al Qaim (a.t.f.s) arrives. However I think it may mean something else for me. I see this number everywhere all the time and sometimes even 4 or 5 times in a day. I see it on license plates, number of street buildings. Whenever I open my phone most of the time the clock reads 3:13 and in a game I play on my phone, brochures I pick up and read, restaurant menus, etc, etc. Do you think Allah trying to tell me something?

Allah swt knows the best.
We pray that you are one of those chosen ones InshAllah. Improve your deeds and actions and it will be so.
