My question is whether playing Go (Baduk) – a board game – haram or halal? It’s a board game that was supposedly invented by the Chinese some 3000 years ago. Two players take turns and play one move in each turn. A move consists of putting a peg on the board. You have to cover most area than your opponent to win. You can also capture enemy territories using some specific constructs.

If it is an entertainment game, and not a gambling game, then it is permissible to play it
