1) I came across someone that gave me information that rattled my head a bit. I found out that the Imams have forbade taqleed. Please let me know if this is true?
Why do usulis do taqleed when the Imams forbade it?
“Beware of taqlid as whoever does Taqlid in his deen, would be destroyed”
وقال الصادق – عليه السلام -: (من أخذ دينه من أفواه الرجال أزالته الرجال، ومن أخذ دينه من الكتاب والسنة زالت الجبال ولم يزل) (٤).
وقال – عليه السلام -: (إياكم والتقليد، فإنه من قلد في دينه هلك) إن الله تعالى يقول: ﴿اتخذوا أحبارهم ورهبانهم أربابا من دون الله﴾
Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever takes his religion from the mouths of men, men will lead him astray. But whoever takes his religion from the Book and the Sunnah, the mountains may move, but his faith will not waver.” (4)
He also said: “Beware of taqlid (blind imitation), for whoever imitates in his religion will perish.” Indeed, Allah the Almighty says: “They took their rabbis and monks as lords besides Allah.”(9:31)

But then I heard if you don’t do taqlid, you die a disbeliever?
